Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Partners for Healthier Communities Director, the Prevention Coordinator plans, develops, organizes, conducts, and evaluates, health promotion interventions to improve public health; develops and disseminates health education information; and provides technical assistance to statewide and community agencies, and departmental staff in various health promotion related programs. Primary area of focus includes substance use prevention with other topics assigned as dictated by contract obligations. # Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education:

Bachelor#s degree in Public Health, Community Health Education or a Health Education field preferred. License/Certifications: Must be a Certified Prevention Specialist and/or be willing to apply for Provisional Prevention Specialist credentials.

A valid driver#s license and motor vehicle insurance are required. Experience: Two (2) years# experience in community or health education program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation required. Directly related work experience may be substituted for education on a year-to-year basis.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and strong organizational and time management skills are essential. Ability to professionally interface with physicians, community partners, hospital administration, and town/state officials. Grant writing/management experience helpful.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Login Now Clinician - School Based - Acton Job Code:9447 Location:Sanford 04073 Department:Therapy School Based FT/PT Status:Full Time Summary: School based clinician in Acton will serve children and families by providing appropriate clinical services. Eligible for Full Benefits! Reimbursement for clinical licensure, exams and renewals! School-based Clinicians provide individual, family and/or group therapy to children, adolescents and their families in the setting that is most comfortable for the unique needs of each family, which could include their child's school, their home or another community setting. There are currently Sweetser community-based therapists working in more than 100 public schools throughout Maine. As a School-based Clinician, you will work full time providing comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy to students and their families within the Acton community. You will also act as a liaison between program and family, participate in program development, and maintain clinical records. SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday school hours with occasional after school and evening hours required. LOCATION: Acton Schools EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: * Master's degree in either Social Work, Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy with a concentration in clinical practice from an accredited graduate school.
