Crittenton Children's Center is the Kansas City area's premier provider of psychiatric care for children, adolescents and their families. We are currently seeking a full time Outpatient Therapist.

  • Provides individual and family therapy as well as case management services for children being discharged from the hospital, or to prevent a hospitalization..

  • Functions as the therapist for patients and families and is responsible for conducting clinical interviews and formulating a treatment plan.

  • Will primarily work in the homes and schools of the child/family to connect them with identified service needs, be a liaison with the school.

  • Complete initial assessments and formulate a treatment plan within EPIC.

  • Provide individual and family therapy, by making referrals to psychiatrists if needed, and securing support services in the community.

  • Good communication to explain diagnoses to parents and children and to explain what course of treatment is needed for each diagnosis.

  • Familiar with community resources and how to access them for clients/families.

  • May provide some interventions and recommendations for schools in order for the child to function better at school academically and/or socially.

  • Good organizational skills to do the therapies, case management services, and documentation.

Must have have a masters degree in a related field and be licensed in the state of MO.

Must have a clean driving record and applicable vehicle insurance.

About the Center for Outpatient Surgery: * Outpatient Surgery Center with 4 ORs * Convenient location at our Research Medical Center Brookside Campus * Flexible Staffing and Scheduling * Great Team and Great Doctors * Lots of variety to include Orthopedic, Neuro, Pain, ENT, Gyn, minor Vascular and Eye * No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call Responsibilities: The Operating Room Tech II, under the direct supervision of a registered professional nurse, provides direct and indirect perioperative patient care for patients requiring surgical intervention, in a minimum of three OR specialty areas (Vascular, Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Cardio/Thoracic) one of which must be Neuro or Cardio, with cases/patients of high acuity. The Operating Room Tech II assumes call rotation responsibility for all procedures excluding those considered within the scope of the open heart team call responsibilities, unless trained in the cardio/thoracic specialty.
