Responsibilities

  • Provides a full range of front desk operations in a busy primary care practice (e.g. registration, scheduling, filing, etc.).

  • Registers patients in timely and efficient manner.

  • Utilizes insurance verification systems (e.g. Navinet, Passport, Health Partners portal, etc.) to ensure insurance eligibility at the time-of-service.

  • Verifies patient demographics at each office visits.

  • Ensures that the proper areas are accessed in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Patient Management (EPM) system at the time-of-service.

  • Ensures that guardianship is verified, obtains consent to treat minor if parent did not present for appointment(s). Also obtains identification, adoption/foster care documentation as needed.

  • Collects co-pays (when applicable) and posts payments to patient encounters in EPM.

  • Represent a positive and professional image of the practice to the patients, families, community and institution through personal and telephone contact.

  • Schedules/confirms patient appointments via scheduling/registration system.

  • Records, communicates and delivers messages ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Provides clerical functions, as needed, for the practice.

  • Reconcile daily fee slips as needed.

  • Performs charge entry as needed.

  • Receives, greets, directs and/or escorts patients, family members, visitors, physicians and hospital personnel as needed in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Provide customer service to patients, families, physician and colleagues as needed.

  • Answer multi-line telephone

Qualifications

Bilingual/Spanish preferred

Training & Education:

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Some college credits preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years' experience with computer registration/scheduling system.

Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a medical office setting

VIEW JOBS 1/14/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-04-14T00:00 POSITION SUMMARY: The Outpatient Therapist (OT), under the direction and clinical supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations, Outpatient Services, is responsible for providing assessment and therapy services for adolescents and adults. The therapist is responsible for functions of coordinating, managing, supporting and facilitating appropriate services to meet the needs of individual clients. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop initial assessments of individual treatment needs by way of one-on-one sessions and use of any records that are sent by referral agencies * In collaboration with other resources--including family members, agency representatives, other agencies involved in the individual's treatment--using behavioral health assessment tools and following guidelines established by regulatory and practice requirements, develop treatment plan goals for assigned individuals * Maintain progress notes and progress reports, and modify treatment plans according to changes in client status * Provide clinically appropriate treatment, including individual and group counseling, consistent with the treatment plan goals * Utilize individuals' natural and professional supports as relevant to assist individuals in meeting their treatment plan goals * Assist clients in adhering to treatment plans, such as setting up appointments, arranging for transportation to appointments, or providing support * Assure continuous reimbursable sessions by maintaining a minimum of 80% productivity that can be reimbursed by the managed care provider * Maintain chart documentation according to regulatory and payer requirements * Ensure that all required paperwork is completed to standards prior to inspections by payer or regulatory agencies * Interface with other Elwyn clinical personnel, including therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists. * Attend internal team meetings and other outside meetings as directed by the Director or designee with the goal to support the clients needs in reaching their treatment plan goals * Perform other duties as assigned IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Clinical Outpatient Services DIRECT REPORTS: None CONTACTS:Elwyn personnel, clients and their families, funding and regulatory agency personnel and visitors EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: * Master's degree required from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline, such as psychology, counseling, clinical social work, psychiatric nursing, or marriage and family therapy * Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team * Must be able to perform CPR, first aid and crisis intervention using agency trained protocols * Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills * Demonstrated, intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook * Must be able to utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR) * Must have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving experience in the United States, and acceptable driving record PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL PROFILE: See Physical Demands Checklist below which represents the general physical demands and environment conditions to which the employee holding this position must meet, in addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
