Description Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital Full-time Outpatient Psychologist Position Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital is seeking a full-time psychologist, with specialized expertise in psychological assessment, to work in the Department of Psychiatry, which serves children, adolescents, adults, and families in the neighboring communities of the Upper West Side and Harlem, as well as throughout New York City. Individuals receiving services through the MSM Department of Psychiatry experience a variety of mood, behavior, and psychiatric disorders including depressive and bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, ADHD, psychotic, and disruptive behavior disorders. Responsibilities Responsibilities will include conducting and supervising psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and adults as well as collaborating with primary therapists and psychiatrists. The psychologist is expected to manage the administrative responsibilities of the testing service in the child/adolescent and adult outpatient clinics, including screening and managing referrals, assigning cases to trainees, working with administrative staff to obtain insurance authorizations, and maintaining testing materials. The psychologist will also have a psychotherapy caseload, and will have an active role in the teaching and supervision of psychology and psychiatry trainees. Clinicians work collaboratively as a multidisciplinary team, and the psychologist will be expected to participate in clinical team meetings on a regular basis. In addition, the psychologist will be able to participate in the Psychiatry Faculty Practice as desired. Qualifications Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in child, clinical, school, or counseling psychology Completion of APA-approved clinical pre-doctoral internship New York State psychology license Demonstrated experience in conducting and supervising psychological assessment batteries of children, adolescents Strong consultation and advocacy skills, and experience collaborating with special education providers and legal agencies preferred Excellent clinical skills in the treatment of children and adolescents, as well as their families Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and to work as a member of a team Prior experience supervising psychology trainees Excellent writing skills and ability to manage responsibilities of report-writing and documentation Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of individuals/groups Compensation range from 120K to 145K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits) Salary Disclosure Information:Mount Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
