  • Provide rehabilitation services for amputee rehabilitation, craniosacral, back/neck improvement, biodex isokinetic therapy, gait training, pelvic floor rehabilitation, sports injury rehabilitation, range of motion improvement and more
  • Provide educational physical therapy support for physicians, patients and their families
  • Assess and ensure that PT safety standards are met
  • Follow PT best practices and hospital strategic initiatives
Requirements for thePhysical Therapist PT:
  • Degree in Physical Therapy
  • APTA Certification
  • Knowledgeable in latest techniques and approaches
  • Experience with Orthopedics and Neurologic Patients a plus

Job Summary Provides direct and related respiratory care procedures for patients as prescribed by physicians orders, federal and state statutes, TJC, and Hospital and Department policies. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an Advanced Level Respiratory Therapist Educational Program or two (2) year Respiratory college. Graduate of an Advanced Level Respiratory Therapist Educational Program preferred. Experience: Newly graduated with no previous experience but with 1,000 clinical hours in a hospital setting. At least one (1) year of experience as a RRT in a hospital setting preferred. License and Certification: CRT certification by N.B.R.C. required for this position to meet State Statute for Respiratory Care Practitioners. RRT registered by N.B.R.C. within 2 years from date of hire. Current CT state licensure required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Current ACLS Certification preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information. Basic computer skills (including opening/reading email, basic internet use). Demonstrated knowledge to perform pulmonary function testing. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians and managers. Ability to read and understand oral and written material and effectively communicate technical or complex information. Demonstrates critical thinking and advanced decision making skills. Must be organized, flexible and a team player. Good time management skills. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to handle multiple priorities. PROBLEM SOLVING AND DECISION MAKING Work is performed in accordance with instructions and procedures, but incumbents must organize the work and set priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Requires the ability to recognize problem situations and refer them to the appropriate staff member.
