  • PCC (Job Opening 456868) - The Ohio State University Medical Center's mission is focused on integrating quality patient care, teaching and research. The Registered Nurse-Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) functions as a member of a team of care providers cultivating collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect.

    The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization, and decreasing costs. The RN/PCC is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The RN/PCC is responsible for assessing, prescibing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients.

    The RN-PCC prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership to, and development of, the patient care team. Position located at The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

This individual is responsible to utilize individual, group and family modalities within expected practice standards and as informed by the professional literature. The Outpatient Therapist will possess the skills to provide interventions at the outpatient site as well as in the school setting, natural environment and other community facilities. This individual will provide culturally appropriate interactions and interventions across all professional and clinical settings. This site has a generalist outpatient therapy team serving children ages 2- 18. The team consists of social workers, professional counselors, and psychologists. The population served is very diverse with regard to culture and presenting problems. The client population provides a great opportunity for those wishing to develop skill with behavioral disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma. What Will You Be Doing? * Remains current in required licensure and clinical or other training as required * Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, diagnosis and prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner * Meets with client/family to assist in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives * Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations * Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist * Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards * Practices within professional areas of expertise * Maintains productivity expectations * Effectively coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care * Meets regularly with Clinical Coordinator or designee * Attends routine staff meetings * Attends in-service trainings, peer review and other intra-agency and supervisory activities * Demonstrates willingness to seek/accept direct supervision as well as respect productive feedback from colleagues and others * Strives to maintain positive patient satisfaction * Supports the philosophy, goals and mission of Nationwide Children's Hospital Qualifications What Are We Looking For?
