Position Summary

SUMMARY AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:This individual will oversee clinical/nursing operations for Employer Services. This individual will be a clinical resource for the WorkHealth clinics, Health Partner clinical operations, Onsite episodic, Onsite clinics and wellness services. This individual will be part of the management team and assist in development of new programs and services for employer services.

Looking for a smaller community(25K population), that offers a low cost of living(18% lower than US average) and plenty of activities in the area but is within an hour of a large city. If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team. The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area. The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center. It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and comprehensive cancer services. SUMMARY: Provides leadership, direction, coordination, and supervision of services to promote and maintain continuity of quality patient care at the facility. ?? Plans, provides and/or supervises the nursing care of patients in an efficient and caring manner. ?? Coordinates care planning with other caregivers and with other areas, adheres to universal precautions, and is compliant with infection control policies.?? Works independently with minimal supervision. DUTIES:?? Acts as a resource to staff for assessment, equipment, procedures, policy interpretation, as well as customer, staff or physician issues. ?? Acts as a resource to nursing staff in making decisions and evaluating all pertinent clinical data. ?? Addresses and resolves conflicts involving staff, physicians, patients, and families. Initiates and coordinates emergency procedures, both clinically and environmentally. Communicates pertinent information regarding operations and issues with the appropriate director/manager. Functions as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department while maintaining supervisory duties. Provides compassionate, quality patient care in accordance with physician orders in a warm and friendly manner. Takes and records measurements or readings. Assesses condition and provides treatment for care of patient. Administers prescribed medications. Provides leadership while working collaboratively with other care givers.?? Demonstrates knowledge, skills and ability related to patient care and normal procedures in the Emergency Department within own scope of practice as demonstrated in completion of annual competencies. Assists with orientation process of new staff as assigned. EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: BSN and current Ohio RN License. ?? Two years experience in acute care setting, preferably in the ED. CPR certification within 30 days of employment. PALS, TNCC, ACLS, BCRA and ENPC certifications preferred but will be required within 12 months of hire date. Assists the manager with customer service issues, counseling/corrective action, education, and professional growth of staff. ?? ADDITIONAL INFO: The shift is 5pm-5:30am and the position is a 72hr ppp. 8 beds, plus 1 major medical bed and they are a Level III Trauma. Will supervise up to 8-10 people/shift.
