JOB SUMMARY: Drives truck for established customers and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the site location inventory.

Class B CDL Required


  • Manages the ordering, delivery, and refill process at customer's place of business. Understands the customer needs with regard to product usage.

  • Maintain load manifests and all other vehicle documents, ensuring they are properly completed and balanced with truck counts and shipping documents before and after deliveries.

  • Serves as the first line Airgas representative with the customer for all packaged gases, welding hardgoods and safety supply related issues.

  • Follows service model to include packaged gas deliveries and management programs, establishing safe handling practices, efficient order processing & invoicing, initiating & executive cost reduction programs, reporting and day-to-day customer interface at the customer location.

  • Provide customized service for assigned customer(s) and their business needs.

  • Writes customer order and instructions. Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.

  • Listens to and resolves service complaints. Gives feedback to supervisor about customer complaints and requirements.

  • Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance checks on truck.

  • Complies with all company policies, safety policies and procedures and DOT requirements.

  • Works safely and meets the requirements of all safety procedures and rules as prescribed by State, Federal, and the Company.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and record information.

Ability to speak effectively before customers or associates.


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to calculate percent.


Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Must possess valid CDL class B with hazardous material and air brakes endorsements.

The associate is occasionally required to climb or balance. The associate must regularly lift up to 60 pounds and move more than 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position is Responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a variety of moderately complex to complex instrumentation and electrical equipment to include control systems, sensors, analyzers, electrical motors, pneumatic instrumentation, programmable controllers, etc. to insure optimum performance of machines and associated equipment. Adheres to all health, safety, and compliance requirements in accordance with federal and state regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Troubleshoot and repair existing problems by utilizing a variety of electrical testers/devices to determine possible causes for problem situations. * Dismantle a variety of electrical devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and reassemble and test for optimum performance. * Repair and/or replace functional parts of control instruments and ability to interpret instructions and diagrams in correcting existing problems. * Maintain appropriate records on completed work performed and forwards logs along with findings to immediate supervisor. * Assist with equipment failure nalysis. * Set up and check preventive equipment such as emergency generators, cathodic protection, change dessicant in water's air system, waste feed cut off testing, analyzer gas equipment, etc. to insure that safety measures are maintained within the facility. Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * On an as-needed basis, order needed parts and machinery and keep adequate inventories to meet scheduled on-going electrical/instrumentation maintenance programs. * Other work related duties as assigned.
