Position Title: Outdoor Program Challenge Course Facilitator.

Individual will be responsible for leading group initiatives on the Outdoor Program Challenge Course. This position includes prep, setup, take down, safety, and group orientation. This position also requires some knowledge of challenge course operation and facilitation.

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

Experience working with groups in a challenge course or a challenge education setting

CPR /AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required prior to working at the OP.

Preferred Qualifications

Seeking applicants with excellent group dynamics, excellent communication skills, experience working with groups in a challenge course or a challenge education setting. CPR /AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required prior to working at the OP. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and relational service skills.

Preference will be given to Federal Work Study applicants, if you are unsure if you are eligible for the Federal Work Study program, contact the Financial Aid office at 801-626-6585.

Physical Requirements of this position Medium work. Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision. Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading. The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position.

The worker is subject to outside environmental changes. No effective protection from the weather. , The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. , The worker is frequently in close quarters, crawl spaces, shafts, man holes, small enclosed rooms, small sewage and line pipes, and other areas that could cause claustrophobia.
