Landscape Design & Sales Representative

HD is a $2.5-3mm company.

Our client has been servicing the Bucks and Montgomery Counties for over 20 years as a full-service design / build landscape and hardscape construction company. We are currently seeking applicants for a landscape sales position where they will be following up on leads, meeting with clients, defining their budget and scope of work, drafting handmade designs and gathering site information for the in house designer to create a solution to gain approval from the Client.

Projects range from $20k to 35k although some may be a lot larger or smaller. 5-20 leads per week depending on season. 65% Residential, 35% Commercial.

The company builds outdoor areas such as decks, outdoor kitchens, drainage, retaining walls, grading, irrigation, lighting, fire pits, water features and landscape installation.

This position requires someone to be knowledgable of materials, costs, estimating and design in order to help a client define their project goals.  This person will serve as the point person to interact with the Project Manager and Foreman in order to make sure projects are on track and to manage any potential changes to the scope.

This position requires the ability to monitor multiple projects, must have plant knowledge and construction experience. The responsibility of this position includes selling landscape and hardscape projects, oversight of the project, and working with the project management team and foreman daily.

The company has a detailed estimating spreadsheet and this position will be responsible for measuring all quantities and sizes in order to accurately price the materials and budget.

The annual sales goal for this position is $700k on up.  Commissions are paid quarterly and based upon hitting a minimum margin of 30% with a target of 50%, and once job is paid in full. 

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience
• Must have experience selling landscape and hardscape design & construction services
• Proficient in design / build construction
• Concrete & masonry knowledge
• Experience with backyard environments everything from patios, pools, masonry, porches, decks, pavers, planting, grading, and drainage
• Must have green industry sales experience
• Proficient computer skills including Excel & Word

Compensation:

• Base pay is 70-80K
• Commission will be a tiered plan, up to 5%,

This person will be following up on leads that are company generated as the company also runs a successful garden center.  This position is somewhat remote as they will be required to come to the office for meetings but will also be in the field meeting with clients.
