About iteach

iteach is a competency-based educator preparation program helping to fill the void the nation faces with the unprecedented teacher shortage. iteach enables paraprofessionals, substitute teachers, and others seeking to become teachers to get the affordable, time-saving education they need to become licensed. Our program combines the convenience of online learning with a full year of face-to-face mentorship during a teaching residency. Notably, iteach is the only non-university educator preparation program to achieve accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

This is a permanent part-time position.

Location: Hybrid in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Initial training as well as occasional meetings and maintenance training will take place onsite in Denton, TX at the iteach office.

Hours: Monday

  • Friday 10:30am-2:30pm

The Opportunity

The Customer Service Representative plays a key role in educating customers on the advantages of the iteach teacher preparation program via outbound calling. The Representative will ensure potential customers have high-quality experiences by providing exceptional service during all interactions, delivering engaging correspondence via phone or email, and staying up to date on all program procedures and requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to continue to develop their customer service skills while working with a mission-driven organization delivering an essential service to potential new teachers.

What You'll Do

  • Proactively call individuals who have applied to the iteach program

  • Educate customers on iteachU.S. benefits and/or answer specific questions they have about the program. (~40 outbound calls per day)

  • Promote the advantages and benefits of iteachU.S.

  • Provide exceptional customer service experience

  • Increase customer conversion

  • Maintain knowledge of program procedures and updates

  • Provide accurate and up to date information about teacher certification.

  • Develop strategies to better address most frequently asked questions

  • Other relevant duties as assigned

You have strong interpersonal communication skills

  • On the phone and in person, you are dynamic and engaging, with the ability to give clear and concise information.

Qualifications

  • Some college preferred

  • Above average skills in typing

  • 1 or more years of experience in providing excellent customer service

Our Selection Process
