JOB PURPOSE:

Assist in the achievement of Midco revenue objectives through outbound sales to the Business market.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet or exceed goals for revenue by selling new, upgrading, and cross selling Midco business products.

  • Demonstrate an aptitude for sales techniques, ask for the sale, suggest additional products or services, and overcome objections to increase revenue.

  • Support key outbound calling initiatives for both sales and customer experience as determined by the Team Manager.

  • Qualify leads and drive opportunities through the sales pipeline by researching customers/accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; and preparing quotations and contracts.

  • Refer leads as appropriate to Residential, Business, MDU, and Advertising sales teams.

  • Utilize CRM for all activities in the sales process, including but not limited to recording customer transactions and interactions, contract, and pipeline management.

  • Follow up with customers in a timely manner.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.

  • Work in team environment to support overall team goals and objectives.

  • Adhere to Midco's privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.

  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • BS/BA in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.

  • At least 1 year of previous sales or relevant customer service/sales experience in a call center environment preferred.

  • Ability to meet or over-achieve quota or goals.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamic or similar CRM.

  • Proficient keyboard skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Call Center Environment, in a cubical, wearing a headset.

  • Must remain at workstation for long periods of time.

  • Extremely time sensitive in order to meet customer demand.

  • Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week.

  • Most shifts are outside normal business hours, and include rotating holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.

KEY FUNCTIONS * Service incoming calls, emails and chat interactions from business customers inquiring about Midco products and services. * Perform proactive outbound calling associated with sales and marketing campaigns. * Maintain and expand database of prospects for all Midco products, by developing, identifying, and securing relevant sales lead and opportunity information. * Qualify leads and drive opportunities through the sales pipeline. * Accurately record customer transactions, establish accounts for new customers, and prepare all necessary paperwork for contracts, sales orders, and other customer transactions. * Identify the right products and services for business customers through asking needs based questions. * Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations and contracts. * Develop account revenue by checking customer's buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features. * Close sales with new customers, follow up with leads and contacts in a timely fashion. * Exceed organizational goals for lead development, new revenue, upselling, and add-on selling. * Partner effectively with the Field Sales Team to drive territory coverage and maintain positive customer relationships when necessary. * Refer leads as appropriate to Residential, B2B, Enterprise, and Advertising sales teams. * Work closely with the internal team members and external Sales and Service teams to insure high customer satisfaction. * Manage sales funnel development by entering and updating all customer Opportunities and Leads information in Microsoft Dynamic CRM. * Adhere to Midco's privacy guidelines to ensure each customer's privacy.
