Responsibilities

Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements:

Title 22 Section 70517, 70519. Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy. Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.

VIEW JOBS 10/14/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-12T00:00 Responsibilities The GI LAB RN is directly accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the Shift Nursing Supervisor. Responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care for the Medical-Surgical Outpatient and/or Inpatients receiving surgical and/or invasive procedure through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for adolescents, adults and older adults. Communicates with physicians, co-workers and/or nursing director, as appropriate about the patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatololgy. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care and co-workers to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization. Responsible for adherence to regulations, standards and hospital or unit policies and procedures. Responsible for participation in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings and in-services. Acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate. Qualifications Education and Work Experience Current and valid state RN License. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. ACLS 30 days upon hire and maintain current. Minimum of one year experience in an acute care or outpatient surgery setting or G.I. lab. Completed Moderate Sedation competency within 30 days upon hire required.
