Occupational Therapy (OT) Assistant

  • Archbold Living Camilla Position Description Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited two-year occupational therapy assistant program. # Licensed as an occupational therapy assistant in the state of Georgia.

    Experience: Prior professional experience is preferred, especially in a long-term care setting, but not required. Required Skills: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required# Certification must be maintained while in position. # Knowledge of disabling conditions and their effects on the sensory, motor, psychosocial and cognitive status of an individual consistent with the age of the person served. # Sound knowledge of treatment procedures in occupational therapy taking into consideration the patient#s age and disabling condition.

    Ability to understand and implement a plan of care and recognize the need for intervention by the OT. # Physical capability to assist patients in practicing skills in mobility and exercise. # Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with other health care personnel, the patient, family and community members. # Basic knowledge of the regulations guiding the practice of occupational therapy in Georgia. Physical Demands: Clinical work is of moderate demand, physically and mentally. Position Description

Education Requirements:
