The qualified candidate will work within a team of engineers, developers, and system analysts in evaluating software for the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Objective Simulation Framework (OSF). The candidate will be be involved with conducting software evaluations on OSF to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to customers. Additionally, the candidate will become knowledgeable on OSF 2.0 and be responsible for establishing integration and evaluation efforts on the new software.
The candidate should be familiar with missile threat data, Radar Cross Section (RCS) data, Infrared (IR) data, Environmental data, Cloud Object Debris (COD) and Kinetic Impact Debris Distribution (KIDD). OSF is used to integrate this data into configurations used to support MDA Missile Defense System (MDS) interoperability and the software will be baseline tested with all integrated components / data. The candidate must have good communication skills with the ability to communicate results from OSF software evaluations.
The position is operated out of an Army government facility supporting the MDA in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities and areas of support include but are not limited to the following:
Evaluate OSF source code software and provide resolutions.
Identify requirements and perform baseline test on new OSF releases.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Hardware, and Integration Teams on configuration requirements.
Communicate findings, processes, and/or results to Team and MDA stakeholders.
Establish processes and procedures for training of Journeyman and Entry Level Team members.
Qualified candidates will have an interest or experience in one of the following areas:
Object Oriented Design and Programming (Java, C#, C, C++, Python, or other higher level language)
Working within an Agile/Lean team based environment
Working with team-based Software Development Tools (Git, Maven, Jenkins, etc.)
UX and UI design
Experience in developing software for fielded hardware systems
Education and Experience Requirements
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related scientific field with 15+ years of related experience
Experience or coursework developing applications with object-oriented languages
The ability to work within a diverse group
Ability to work as part of a team or independently
Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Office Applications (Linux/Unix and Windows)
Excellent organizational skills needed to track multiple assignments, adapt to requirements changes, and meet deadlines
The ability to work with or learn to use and operate a MDA test frame work to

Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance
15+ years' experience
Ability to write scripts or code using C++, R, Perl, Python and Java
Experience in the Missile Defense Agency and with Missile Defense Systems
Active Secret clearance
