Summary:

The Orthopedic Technician assists physicians in all aspects of office care. In this role, you will assist in procedure and general maintenance of equipment, supplies and exam rooms.

Formal Education Required:

a. High school diploma or equivalent.

b. Orthopedic Technologist Certification preferred.

Experience and Training Required:

a. One year orthopedic experience in lieu of Orthopedic Technologist Certification.

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

a. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

b. Knowledge of medical terminology.

c. Basic computer skill.

d. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
