duPont Hospital for Children is seeking a fellowship trained Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our Cerebral Palsy Division in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery in Wilmington, DE.
The surgeon in this position will develop a practice focused on the treatment of patients with cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disease.
The practice will include full orthopaedic management of hip, knee, spine and foot problems in this patient population.
The treatment of spinal deformities and upper extremity surgical reconstructions are optional based on the individuals interest.
Our multi-disciplinary Cerebral Palsy Center is one of a very few in the Mid-Atlantic region dedicated solely to caring for children with cerebral palsy, seeing more than 3,000 children per year.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in gait analysis and interpretation utilizing our state of art gait and motion laboratory.
Physician candidates must have completed an ABMS accredited Fellowship program in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery.

The Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children is searching for a fellowship trained board certified or board eligible Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with a minimum of ten years experience in pediatric orthopaedics to develop a practice in cerebral palsy and neuromuscular disease. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years experience treating cerebral and neuromuscular conditions. The current neuromuscular program has a well-developed and large patient population with two full-time surgeons, which will provide and excellent opportunity for an experienced orthopaedic surgeon to develop a strong practice in this area of pediatric orthopaedics. This position is primarily focused on children with cerebral palsy and a smaller group of children with spina bifida. The position requires the successful applicant to assist with gait analysis and interpretation in our state of the art gait and motion laboratory. The practice would include full orthopaedic management of hip, knee, spine and foot problems in this patient population, as well as the treatment of spinal deformities and upper extremity surgical reconstructions.
