POSITION SUMMARY The Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) assists the orthopedic surgeons in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions. The PA or NP will practice under a supervising physician with responsibilities to include conducting patient evaluations, formulating treatment plans, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, assisting in surgeries, providing patient education, and managing post-operative care. They may also perform procedures like joint injections, aspirations, reductions and wound care. Excellent communication and clinical skills are essential for this role.
