Dr. Steve Lemery and Dr. Gene Eng at Overlake Orthodontics are seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant who loves people and is excited to join us in providing excellent orthodontic care for patients and families! The hourly wage range for this position is $25 - $33 per hour, depending on experience.

What you'll be accountable for:

• Patient Care: Assist in providing exceptional orthodontic care and ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience

• Sterilization Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment, as well as maintain compliance with all safety regulations.

• Radiography and Digital Records: Take dental radiographs (X-rays) an oral photos as needed. Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation safety measures are followed. Take scans with an iTerro scanner.

• Orthodontic Patient Educational and Support: Instruct patients on orthodontic care, explain routine orthodontic procedures, educate on proper oral hygiene techniques

• Administrative Tasks: Enter chart notes and update patient records, order clinic supplies and manage inventory, assist front office as needed

Schedule: Mon-Thur 6:45am-4pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration

• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state

• 1+ years of Orthodontic experience required

• OrthoTrac software experience a plus

• Highly organized and attentive to patients' needs

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Must be able to explain procedures and educate patients.

• Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.

• Uphold patient confidentiality and exhibit a compassionate and caring demeanor.

• Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and professional demeanor.

• This position operates in an office environment which includes working with and operating phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
