The Risk Framework Initiative (RFI) is a Risk Management and Compliance wide program focused on determining an integrated target state across risk management activities and developing related infrastructure to support the target state framework. Program areas of focus are a reflection of first line of defense input and identified pain points combined with strategic efforts underway in Risk Management and Compliance.

The ORM Practices and Initiatives Analyst within U.S. Bancorp's Operational Risk Management (ORM) Frameworks team will collaborate across risk programs to deliver upon initiatives which drive consistent process, data capture, and alignment to foundational policies and core risk framework. Resource will manage a suite of projects aligned to continuous improvement efforts surrounding risk program approach and enablement.

Key roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong experience with banking risk program administration and common approaches to execution

  • Experience with initiative/project management disciplines, including planning and tracking, as well as a track record for project delivery.

  • Identifying improvement opportunities

  • Collaborate effectively across many different teams and stakeholders with potentially competing priorities

  • Consume, aggregate, analyze and present data to direct management as well as contribute to executive-level presentations

  • Exposure to common governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platforms

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience

  • Seven to ten years of experience in an applicable risk management environment

  • Applicable professional certifications

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Banking/Financial Services experience preferred

  • Applicable certifications (i.e. CPA, CIA or additional risk management credentialing or education relevant to position)

  • Experience using RSA/Archer platform

  • Considerable knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business

  • Considerable understanding of the business line's operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls

  • Considerable knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies

  • Strong process facilitation, project management, and analytical skills

  • Must possess business acumen and credibility to help business line(s) proactively identify and address changing workforce needs

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations

  • A background within a highly regulated industry and a large, dynamic organization with experiences related to risk management

  • Experience with large-bank risk and compliance programs and related data infrastructure

  • Excellent written and oral communication and meeting facilitation skills
