Therapy Source is currently seeking a full-time Orientation and Mobility (O&M), specialist, to provide services for a public school in the Chicago Heights area. This position is for the remainder of the 2018/19 school year.
Priority will be given to an Orientation and Mobility (O&M) specialist who is also a TVI. Excellent compensation available!
Job Type:
Teacher of the Visually Impaired

Orientation and Mobility dual certification is preferred
Teacher of the Visually Impaired preferred
School certification PEL is required
Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

OVERALL PURPOSE: To provide sales and our customers with timely color matches on new printed products and to improve the color matching of printed products being run within manufacturing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Ability to operate color computer (ACS) to effectively evaluate color for the purpose of add recommendations, both in ink preparation and press start up. * Ability to effectively develop and match to requirements for new patterns. * Ability to utilize lab press in developing new color matches. * Interact with supervisors and customers to ensure the proper priorities and customer requirements are met prior to requesting customer approval on new patterns and color matches. * Responsible for press start-up based on color standard. * Interact with customers and Sales/Marketing regarding color matches and design development. * Perform quality control on batches and make corrections as necessary. * Must be able to follow standard operation procedures in detail and update/create documentation. Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Three to five years color matching experience. * Must be able to pass the Munsell Color Test * Ability to document results. Excellent record keeping and data input. * Proficient in math. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Detail oriented. OTHER FUNCTIONS * General housekeeping of work area. * Dependable, flexibility in working hours and overtime. Must be able to work any shift. * Strict adherence to safety requirements, security requirements and work rules. * Any duties so assigned by supervisor which may contribute to safe, efficient operations.
