This position acts as liaison between AF and Army munitions program and contracting offices.

Support acquisition program operations and general organizational workflow (philosophy, policies and procedures) services to procurement activities, project and/or program management tasks, acquisition programs, and organizational activities. This includes skills required to support management functions, processes and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze and evaluate information to include, but not limited to, organizational structures and resource requirements, utilization or control; manning requirements; human resources; and knowledge of DoD and AF program and project analysis. Also includes developing and implementing programs to facilitate the identification and improvement of processes for the purpose of continuous process improvement.

Provide personnel with knowledge and experience in accountable and non-accountable supplies and equipment processes, management and accountability; process supply and equipment requisitions; maintaining stores of accountable and non-accountable supplies and equipment; and conducting inventories IAW AFI 23-111 and AFMAN 23-110

Develop and implement programs to facilitate the identification and improvement of processes for the purpose of continuous process improvement.

Must have 2 years of college or technical school and 6 years of experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 8 years; including:

  • 5 years' experience in DoD operations management

DoD secret clearance required at time of hire.

Work Environment

  • An inside office environment

  • Needs to have clear, concise and accurate communication skills

  • Need to work well with, co-operate, and support clients, supervisors, and co-workers

Equipment and Machines

  • Standard office equipment and machines, computer workstation.

  • Working at a computer or desk

Attendance

  • Normal hours are Monday Friday 7:00am 5:00pm

  • Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines

  • Regular attendance is necessary and required

Other Essential Functions

  • Must be able to communicate effectively

  • Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with clients, supervisors and co-workers

  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to the employee or others

  • Must be able to support and work in a proactive team environment

Holland is hiring an Operations Supervisor at our facility in Rock Island, Illinois RESPONSIBILITIES * Supervise and coordinate all activities of dockworkers and other support personnel. * Provide planning, direction and control of all available resources for insuring timely, damage-free, safe loading/unloading of freight on assigned shifts. * Provide support personnel and dockworker training and performance feedback to ensure that all work is performed according to company approved procedures and standards. Qualifications Successful candidates will possess * High school education or equivalent. * Knowledge of proper freight handling/loading techniques. * Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations. Strong interpersonal skills to create conditions for cooperation and high standards of performance from subordinates. * Strong organizational skills. * Ability to work long hours including weekends and in inclement weather conditions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Business or equivalent work experience. * 1-2 years supervisory experience. * Demonstrated leadership abilities. * Previous experience with a LTL motor freight carrier with knowledge of hazardous materials and applicable collective bargaining agreements. * Familiarity with mainframe computers and/or PC applications.
