Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing strategic support to Organizational Effectiveness (OE) initiatives by executing on small to moderately complex project activities; partnering with more senior level OE resources to deliver on projects and programs; works independently and provides high quality deliverables with little to no oversight; supporting change initiatives for system implementations or business project optimization efforts; contributes to the development and maintenance of OE methodologies tools and templates; supports project teams in identifying organizational change needs to enable transformation of strategy, structure, systems, and processes; developing future state approaches; facilitating implementation; supporting the executing of OE plans; and providing feedback to measure the effectiveness of results.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 0-1 years of experience in organizational effectiveness, change management, and/or related HR field

  • Experience as a team member on cross-divisional, large-scale organizational analysis/design, change management, organizational development and/or HR initiatives

  • Project management skills and experience working collaboratively in diverse work groups

  • Verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills

  • Ability to work independently and produce high quality deliverables

  • Time management and prioritization skills

  • Analytical skills

  • Problem solving skills

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Masters degree

  • Health insurance, healthcare industry or consulting experience

  • Experience with Excel and Visio

  • Process Design experience

  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project

The Organizational Effectiveness Specialist supports the implementation of organizational effectiveness initiatives including organizational assessments and surveys (e.g. engagement, culture of safety), talent reviews, succession planning, goal setting, performance reviews, and employee/leadership development (in collaboration with the Rush Leadership Academy) to enable leaders and functional areas across Rush. This position assists with the delivery of an integrate talent management system and process along with support tools/resources in order to impact performance and engagement across Rush University Medical Center. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Position Responsibilities: * Assists with the design, implementation, and continuous improvement organizational effectiveness programs, assessments, systems, and processes. * Assists with the implementation, optimization, support, and training of talent management systems and processes. * Assists with research to ensure the inclusion and infusion of best practices into the development of programs, processes, assessments, and methods. * Works with vendors to optimize and deploy organizational effectiveness systems and surveys. * Partners with HR Business Partners, HRIS, and others on organizational mapping to ensure an accurate hierarchy and all project management aspects of engagement survey administration and results delivery. * Assists with developing resources that assist employees, management, and leadership with organizational effectiveness initiatives involving employee engagement, culture, performance management, goal setting, succession planning, and employee/leadership development. * Develops tools and resources that enable the HR Business Partners and Leadership Academy to support leaders in analyzing and acting on talent, performance, culture, and engagement outcomes. * Analyzes the effectiveness of programs and sustains the momentum of organizational effectiveness initiatives. * Responsible for reporting and analysis of organizational effectiveness metrics to support the assessment of outcomes and insights for the organization, HR Business Partners, Leadership Academy, and functional area leaders. * May assist with designing and delivering presentations to key stakeholders, including senior leadership. Position Qualifications Include: * Bachelor's degree in psychology, business, or a related field and two years of human resources or organizational development experience required OR Master's degree in organizational development, business administration, organizational leadership, I/O psychology, or related degree and one year of human resources or organizational development experience required. * Prior experience supporting organizational initiatives that include employee engagement, culture, succession planning, goal setting, performance management, leadership development, and metrics analysis preferred. * Experience writing technical documents including job aids, guides, executive summaries, technical reports, website content, and frequently asked questions. * Strong time management and prioritization skills. * Organizational savvy and emotional maturity to interact with individuals at all levels of a complex organization. * Intermediate Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills to include use of statistical functions, v-look up, pivot tables, etc.). * Ability to solve problems independently and overcome challenges without becoming frustrated. * Ability to hold self and others accountable with a desire to continuously enhance the reputation of the HR function. * Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills including the ability to successfully extract and assess information from a variety of sources. * Ability to effectively use technology and work with large/complex data sets. * Previous experience with talent/performance management systems such as Halogen, Success Factors, or Cornerstone preferred. * Experience working with Qualtrics/SurveyMonkey preferred.
