The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Leadership and Organizational Development Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for enabling the execution of talent development programs (i.e., leadership development/assessments/surveys, etc.), processes (annual performance/talent management processes), and systems (Learning Management system, email, facilitation technology, reporting) to engage retain, and grow Valvoline employees. The coordinator provides day-to-day operational and internal customer support and drives functional excellence and process improvement.

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Support the ongoing execution of leadership development solutions and events, including training classes, both in-person and virtual, assessments, coaching engagements, Employee Resource Group events, and other development programs and activities. This includes course preparations, launching and monitoring solution completion, hosting/proctoring learning activities (live or virtual), managing the Leadership and Organizational development inbox, communicating with internal participants/stakeholders, processing invoices, and creating/maintaining records.

  • Execute all aspects of classroom training preparation and calendar management, which includes coordinating and providing all training materials, managing class registrations, administering assessments, managing class credit in VIOC (Valvoline Instant Oil Change) University, and serving as a main point of contact for course communication.

  • Support the annual talent and culture processes (Talent Review, Performance management, Career Development, Engagement/Onboarding/Exit surveys, etc.) by creating materials, communicating with internal partners, scheduling meetings, updating/maintaining records, and seeking feedback for and then making process improvements.

  • Manage eLearning professional development/leadership curricula and development portal. Partners with (1) internal stakeholders and HR Business Partners to understand needs, (2) external vendors to understand available curricula, (3) eLearning/communication teams to market/communicate the curricula, maintaining its relevance, and (4) owns the leadership/professional development training calendar and assists with LMS course scheduling set-up.

  • Create and maintain department reporting and analytics. Actively seeks opportunities to improve operational workflows, processes, and practices and proposes solutions.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Training and Development, Organizational Development or a related field preferred)

  • Minimum of one year of Valvoline experience or HR-related organizational development, as well as talent/performance management

  • Project management and system management experience preferred

  • A strong focus on internal customers' needs and satisfaction

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization; ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Data analysis skills, comfort in working with Excel and manipulating data, generating reports

  • Technical aptitude to be able to learn new technologies quickly

  • Ability to use data to improve processes/products

  • Possess a high level of integrity, judgment, and discretion in handling confidential information

  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)

  • Intermediate experience with calendar management tools (e.g. Microsoft Outlook)

  • Basic experience using Microsoft Teams required; experience creating and maintaining pages

  • Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, high-performance environment

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and network across a multifunctional organization

  • Demonstrated ability to stay organized when multitasking and supporting various projects

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, embracing the idea that success as a team comes first (and is most rewarding)

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
