Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Organization and Talent Development Consultant to join our team of talented O&TDCs helping to design and lead Construction Industries' global talent and organizational development strategy. You will join a team committed to lead the segment's highest priorities while staying closely connected to the business units/divisions.

Role Overview

The Global Organization and Talent Development Consulting is a key member of our CI Talent team. This critical role is responsible for supporting the strategic segment goals alongside other O&TDCs who are experts in areas across the talent lifecycle.

The Global O&TDC will be involved in a variety of activities including, but not limited to the following:

Drive the succession planning strategies and processes for CI's key positions; assess, design, and implement internal programs to grow leadership talent and improve the organization's succession and bench strength. The candidate will be skilled in building talent pipelines and implementing design solutions to address significant gaps.

The incumbent will have the ability to find, extract and analyze data from Workday to solve and support a variety of business problems/people initiatives, as well as provide key people insights to the O&TD Team and CI Leadership Team. Typical data analysis includes calculating, and understanding diversity metrics, turnover/attrition data, hiring information, promotions, succession planning metrics, etc. The incumbent must demonstrate intellectual curiosity and leverage data/metrics to understand and solve people initiatives.

In addition to supporting key initiatives in Construction Industries, they will also partner with Business Unit Leadership to own key initiatives & deliverables such as: coordinating talent sessions to ensure a healthy pipeline, managing the division mentoring program, benchmarking of talent best practices internally and externally, partnering with other divisions to ensure cross divisional talent pollination and leading leadership development & training.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors level degree

8+ years of progressive human resource experience with a blend of experience across HR business partner and talent roles.

5+ HR Business Partner/Talent experience within direct line of business/business unit

Strong data analytical skills

A proven track record of creating vison/strategy and translating into operational execution in Human Resource/Talent roles.

Demonstrated skills and proficiency in the following areas: enterprise point of view, collaboration across matrix organization, ability to influence effectively at multiple levels of an organization, strong teamwork and proven skills communicating effectively.

Experience with Workday HCM

General understanding of industry products, experience working with business partners and employees in a manufacturing as well as professional environment.

Awareness and expertise in a variety of human resources areas.

Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills at all levels in the organization.

Systems thinker, where understand all the connections and integration points through the entire talent management lifecycle.

Strong project and process management skills.

Able to analyze data quickly and thoroughly and provide sound business recommendations based on data.

Financial/business acumen

Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for leading recruiting processes and execution across management & support functions within the global Product Support & Logistics Division (PSLD). This role will have direct oversight for a team of recruiters & talent acquisition coordinators, and will be will be accountable for providing strategic talent acquisition advisory and leadership for the PSLD business globally. The position will be tasked with fostering key relationships and partnerships with HR and Business Leaders across the division and will be responsible for providing Talent Acquisition excellence and strategic partnership to elevate the greater TA function at Caterpillar. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Oversee & manage the total Talent Acquisition process, strategy & execution across the PSLD business. Effectively lead a team of recruiters and coordinators to drive best practices around the recruiting process and deliver top talent to meet key business needs, establishing strategic partnerships to elevate hiring manager and candidate satisfaction throughout the process. * Educate and train hiring managers and leaders on recruiting best practices, interviewing techniques, conducting reference checks, candidate selection, compensation considerations, and employee onboarding. Work collaboratively with Division hiring leaders and HR Business Partners to develop and maintain strategic partnerships to enable recruiting success. * Maintain and enhance measures of success across the Talent Acquisition team to drive consistent and repeatable hiring results. Manage team performance and identify & develop training plans to build and reinforce recruiter capabilities and best practices. * Assess recruiting analytics and hiring metrics to provide key business updates, stakeholder reviews and service level evaluations to ensure execution across key business objectives. Partner effectively with HR leadership & TA leadership to ensure clear messaging on hiring success and opportunities across the global business division. * Partner with peers across business divisions and central resource teams (Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand, Organizational Development, Compliance, Legal and others) to serve as a subject matter expert and advise best practices to enhance enterprise and division hiring processes. * Ensure division recruiting resources are utilized effectively by managing priorities and allocating resources where necessary. * Liaise with customer organizations to understand their needs and ensure recruiting organization is providing required services and maintaining internal client satisfaction. * Collaborate with HR Leadership and Division Business Leaders to conduct workforce planning and ensure alignment between global strategy and division recruiting targets. Basic Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. * Work Experience: 7+ years experience in Talent Acquisition or related field. 2+ years experience managing recruiters strongly preferred. * Experience delivering active and passive recruiting strategies and processes that meet evolving business needs. Experience leading Diversity hiring projects/initiatives preferred. * Relationship Building: Ability to collaborate other areas of HR/Talent Management Teams to support business needs. * People/Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to lead regional/virtual team of resources. Prior experience managing local and remote recruiting teams preferred. * Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
