Orderly

Position Summary:

Under the direction of a registered nurse, responsible for providing support to nursing staff and assisting in the delivery of patient care following departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Transports patients.

2. Performs basic patient care duties.

3. Performs general unit support activities such as cleaning of rooms, running errands, stocking supplies.

4. Assists with basic desk duties such as answering phones and order entry.

5. Performs other related responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification as Healthcare Provider or equivalent through the Military Training Network (MTN).

Preferred:

• Patient care experience in acute care setting
