Orderlies in the Surgical Services primary responsibilities are to assist and transport patients
Orderlies perform clerical duties, orders and restocks supplies and other functions as needed.
Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Assist with the positioning of patients and holds extremities during preps
Assist with moving of patients on and off O.R. beds
Transports patients in a safe and timely fashion to appropriate beds
Assists with same day surgeries with patient shaves, stocking equipment
and supplying clean made beds
Assist with environmental duties and room turnover according to department policy
High School or equivalent preferred
Minimum of one year patient care experience preferred
Understanding of medical terminology preferred
