Position Summary:

Performs a variety of duties to support departmental function. Transports patients to and from the department, performs housekeeping duties as assigned, assists OR team as requested and/or indicated, runs assigned errands, and performs as ancillary support to OR staff.

Position Requirements:

Licensure/ Certification/Registration:

  • Nursing Assistant Certification desirable.

  • BCLS

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or Orderly preferred.

Special Qualifications:

  • Maintains skill level and learns new procedures as necessary

  • Basic skills essential to protect health and safety of self and patient

  • Ability to push patient stretchers

  • Skillful enough to do scrubbing, mopping, and damp dusting.

  • Ability to communicate clearly in English.

  • Understands written and oral communication in English.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR: In this role, you support all aspects of building maintenance and upkeep. You love that you are not stuck in an office cubicle all day but get to move around our production plant performing a variety of tasks. You are a hands-on, get-it-done person who is flexible and quick to respond when called to handle any issue. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills come into play as you regularly interact with others internally as well as outside contractors and regulatory commissions. You carefully perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and repairs on mechanical and electrical plant utilities and systems. Safety is a priority for you, and you always take proper precautions from the protective equipment you use to the careful procedures you follow. Your excellent maintenance keeps everything performing as designed while assuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems and use your fantastic troubleshooting skills to resolve them. With attention to detail, you keep accurate and up-to-date records, including logs, work orders, and preventative maintenance orders. You conduct failure analyses and research preventative options, working to achieve optimal machine uptime metrics. You order spare parts and keep them organized to ensure that you have what you need when you need it. You feel great about playing such an essential role in helping us meet production goals! RESPONSIBILITIES: * Troubleshoot and work with our operations team to address and resolve equipment and manufacturing system obstacles and mechanical/electrical problems * Drive safety processes within the facility * Operate independently without the need for continuous oversight or direction * Responsible for executing the preventive maintenance plans * Troubleshoot recurring equipment problems and find solutions * Organize spare parts to ensure that stock is easily identifiable and accessible * Order spare parts and maintain quantities * On-call for machinery outages * Work directly with parts vendors and machine shops to source parts * Help implement all pertinent OSHA and internal safety standards * Assist in developing safety inspections, audits and safety goals with a team * Promote safety awareness and safe work practices * Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Lockout/Tagout Program QUALIFICATIONS: * 5 to 7 years of previous experience as an Electrician or Maintenance Mechanic (electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment) * Experience leading and directing a maintenance team is preferred * Ability to read electrical schematics * Understanding of electric motors & controls is required * Working knowledge of PLC's (not programming), experience with Allen Bradley PLC's is a plus * A familiarity of programming VFD's * Understanding of working with 480v/3 phase electrical system * Solid knowledge of industrial mechanics principles including; hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing * Ability to find and order replacement parts using catalogs, phone, and internet * Excellent organizational skills in managing a workload, caring for tools and maintaining records * Familiarity with boilers and welding * Ability to work flexible hours based on company/maintenance needs to include some weekend hours and on-call * Willingness to take training classes to advance knowledge of plant equipment * Willingness and capability to travel related to the job or training * PC skills Microsoft Office Suite Outlook, Excel, Word * Bilingual preferred Familiarity with boilers and MIG/TIG welding is a plus!
