Order Taker (Full Time)

The Order Taker acts as an office coordinator to ensure that guests receive their orders in an accurate and timely manner and relay requests by guests to Servers and Honor Bar Attendants.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sort door menus according to time of delivery for breakfast.

• Answer telephone and record guest information and food orders.

• Record all deliveries of food, flowers and amenities on the pick-up sheet.

• Answer questions about all menus and hours of operation.

• Total and post all guest charges, including honor bar.

• Order office supplies for the department.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Prepare amenity packages.

• Suggest additional food and beverage items to compliment order.

• Act as coordinator of breaks and side work in the absence of the manager. Other duties as assigned by

• Supervisor. Help set up hospitality functions.

• Be familiar with hotel services in order to answer questions and provide assistance to guests.

• Report any problems to management to ensure guest satisfaction and the protection of company property.

• Perform side work duties as assigned on daily side work form.

• Knows models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards).

• Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Absolute Required Skills:

• Basic math and organizational skills.

• Clear and polite manner communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Food safety and TIPS certifications.

• Able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and overtime.

Desired Skills:

• High school diploma preferred.
