YOU

As an Order Entry Clerk you will assist the Inside Sales Department by data entering all email and faxed orders into the computer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Compile and sort emails, faxes, EDI orders and orders delivered through web portals according to priority. Review orders for any deficiencies prior to entry; resolve discrepancies by using standard procedure or returning incomplete orders to team leader for resolution. Verify customer information is correct. Input customer sales order by inputting alphabetic and numeric information into order entry screen (80%)

Communicate with customer by email or fax their order confirmation with unit price, shipping dates, and any anticipated delays. Inform shipping warehouse of pertinent information about the order when necessary. (10%)

Maintain and follow policy and procedures. Also maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.

  • 1 year of data entry or related experience.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks.

  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity and basic understanding of product names. (Training in this area will be provided upon hire)

  • Accountability & Dependability: Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.

  • Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain customer satisfaction.

  • Speaking: Ability to use language that is appropriate to the audience, occasion, and purpose.

  • Writing: Ability to generate messages that instigate appropriate actions.

  • Typing: Score in the proficient range on typing assessment.

This job operates in a professional office environment where standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. are frequently used.

This job does not require travel.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in Columbus, OH.

RELOCATION

Relocation is not available for this position.

PAY

$16.00 - $20.00 / hour
