Oracle Webcenter Portal Developer Sr. or Advisor.

Location: Norfolk VA and Atlanta GA

This role is posted as a job family. The title and salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and expertise.*

Opportunity for experienced Java/ Oracle ADF/webcenter developer.

Responsible for programming on Pulse application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit, client program, or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms.

Pulse is a new and reimagined Anthem associate portal with a fresh look and feel, easy navigation and a clean page layout to help associates to find the information quickly. Pulse delivers many personalization and collaboration capabilities for associates including My Apps with SSO enabled to many commonly used applications, Communities to engage associates, My Notifications, improved search functions, personalized benefit, pay and PTO information on the HR homepage and more.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements and leads requirements gathering meetings.

  • Owns the change request process and may coordinate with other teams as necessary.

  • Develops and owns list of final enhancements.

  • Develops and defines application scope and objectives and prepares technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written.

  • Performs technical design reviews and code reviews.

  • Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.

  • Assesses current status and supports data information planning.

  • Coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system.

  • Maintains technical development environment.

  • Mentors others and may lead multiple or small to medium sized projects.

  • Facilitates group sessions to elicit complex information on requirements clarification, design sessions, code reviews and troubleshooting issues.

  • Supports vendor evaluation.

  • Requires BA/BS degree in related field or technical institute training;

  • Overall IT experience of 8 or 10 + years

  • 3 or more (5+ for Advisor level) years web/portal applications development experience.

  • Multi platform experience; expert level experience with business and technical applications, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Java web developer skillset required

  • Good oral and written communication skills

Required:

  • Experience in Oracle ADF, Oracle Webcenter technologies.

  • Agile methodologies, DevOps tools & processes.

  • Groovy, AngularJS and java programming.

Experience with Following Technical Skills/Systems are a plus:

  • Oracle WebCenter Portal 12C

  • Oracle WebCenter Content (Oracle UCM).

  • Integration of WebCenter portal and UCM.

  • Client side scripting (javascript) and cascaded style sheets.

  • Collaborates with self-directed development team that shares all project responsibilities

Seeking a Java Developer with hands-on experience developing custom applications in an enterprise application environment. Responsible for programming on specific application subsets of the company's application portfolio, participating in all phases of the development and maintenance life cycle, typically for an assigned business unit or corporate department and utilizing various customer technology platforms. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements, leads requirements gathering meetings and reviews designs with the business. * Defines application scope and objectives in alignment with business requests; supervises the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from which programs will be written. * Design and implement technical solutions in support of system integrations, ingesting log files, monitoring, data aggregation/modeling/extraction and visualization of data for the customers. * Evaluate logs to diagnose errors, determine trends and hot spots for alerts and monitoring. * Ability to analyze/interpret technical data and communicate effectively to management. * Troubleshoot technical issues, provide workaround (if available) to minimize customer impacts, determine root cause and drive resolution while keeping management and customers informed. * Ability to satisfy "ad-hoc" development request in addition to the main duties described. * Understands the change request process and coordinates with others as necessary. * Performs technical design reviews and code reviews. * Ensures unit testing is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan. * Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions. Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process. * Owns the technical development environment and works on the Enterprise team. Requires a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or technical institute training. * 5+ years of experience leading project teams, hands-on application software development, maintenance or implementation and support. * 3+ years' experience with Java Spring Framework on a large enterprise level. * Demonstrated record of providing an excellent customer service orientation / mindset with innate desire to 'Make a Difference'. * Superior communication and presentation skills * Ability to multitask and solve complex technical problems * Experience working in a multi-server/cluster environment * PERL, Python, JavaScript, Linux shell scripting, Regex and RESTAPI experience would be highly preferable. * Familiarity with Cloud technologies is preferred. * Experience with Splunk such as creating customized searches, reports, dashboards is welcomed. * Working knowledge of Agile/DevOps concepts and Atlassian tools is also preferred.
