Job Description:

Position: Oracle Retail Analyst.

Job Duties: The Oracle Retail Analyst provides support and analysis for Oracle Retail Software Applications for corporate and restaurant locations.

Duties include:

  • Analyze business requirements utilizing functional and technical knowledge on Oracle Retail to implement and improve computer system capabilities.

  • Conduct enhancements within the Oracle Retail Applications ORMS (Oracle Retail Merchandising System), ORPM (Oracle Retail Pricing Management), OREIM (Oracle Retail Invoice Matching), ORSIM (Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management), ORESA (Oracle Retail Sales Audit), ORAlloc (Oracle Retail Allocation) and ORIB (Oracle Retail Integration Bus).

  • Work on the development and architectural design of new systems in Oracle Retail. Work on the configuration of new systems to customize them in accordance to business requirements as well as analyze any legacy system(s) and propose recommended solutions on the Oracle Retail Applications.

  • Provide technical and functional support on various phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Conduct various critical integrations to connect Oracle Retail Applications with various downstream systems.

  • Identify malfunctions and architecture-related issues and other synchronization issues between the clients' various existing systems and the Oracle Retail Applications.

  • Provide in-depth technical consultation to Business Units and IT management to ensure development of efficient systems utilizing established standards, procedures, and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field plus seven (7) years of progressive post-Bachelor's experience in an Oracle Retail Consultant role working with Oracle Retail Applications required.

  • Must have experience with: Consulting in retail environment; Consulting in a Retail/Agile environment, addressing software issues with QA and business unit(s)

  • Experience in business and systems analysis, design, and implementation

  • Experience in standard development processes, operating systems, database languages, and programming languages and tools, including:

  • SQL, PL/SQL,

  • Pro*C,

  • Unix Shell Scripting,

  • UC4,

  • BIP,

  • Oracle Forms/Reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Functions as an advanced applications system analyst for Oracle ERP system * Functions as project manager for major Oracle ERP projects, with minimal supervision from more experienced project managers and managers * Gathers business requirements for any module rollout * Discusses best practices with management and maintains global standards for implementations * Works closely with the rest of IT team and is proactive in identifying Oracle improvements for current or future projects * Devises innovative work-around solutions or new processes * Able to load data utilizing Oracle tools or other 3rd party software * Plans, schedules and conducts training courses for end users of Oracle Applications, and develops training materials for end users * Analyzes program changes and participates in technical troubleshooting * Develops reports, end user layer tables, adds/modifies fields, develops and implements customizations * Provides Help Desk support directly to end users to resolve issues in a timely manner * Works directly with Oracle Corporation as necessary to resolve issues with Oracle ERP system * May require travel on a special needs basis * Participates in the Company's 24x7 support service commitment QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
