Principal Responsibilities:
Defines overall application functional and business requirements with end-users and recommends application modifications, configurations and processes
Acts as team leader for projects with moderate budgets or of a short to intermediate duration; demonstrates leadership skills by mentoring more junior level staff and leading meetings
Implements, designs and upgrades applications; creates test plans for projects
Analyzes model test discrepancies to find trends and works with programmers to resolve
Establishes cost and time estimates for development or implementation of projects
Produces business process flow charts; creates communication plans (correspondence, presentations and other materials) for knowledge transfer to leadership
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results
Participates in external product vendors' steering committees
Creates and executes moderately complex test scripts, provides training to end users and responds to critical and routine production support requests
Creates medium to high complexity functional designs using a disciplined application implementation methodology and review designs written by junior analysts
Assists project managers in defining, documenting, and clarifying business requirements; evaluate and articulate technical requirements to address business requirements

Skills:
Solid knowledge of system development methodology, project management, system architecture and analytical/problem solving skills
Extensive experience interpreting user needs and writing functional specifications for new systems, systems changes and/or system enhancements
Solid interpersonal skills
Ability to influence others to achieve results
Knowledge of Oracle EPM suite, FDM, DRM, OBIEE, BOBJ, Oracle ERP
Ability to self-manage multiple projects within tight timeframes and dynamic priorities

Education and Experience:
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years with a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience

The Oracle Apps DBA will be responsible for Apps DBA activities, supporting Implementations, Installations, Customizations, Administration and Report Configuration for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Key Responsibilities: * Responsible for all technical matters related to the Oracle Applications databases including upgrades, cloning, monitoring and tuning the operating environment, coordinating/executing all code migrations. * Apply Patches and perform implementations, installations and upgrades as required, while working closely with Oracle Support to resolve any issues. * Opening, Managing, and resolving Oracle SRs (Troubleshoot issues raised by users and provide timely resolutions), via thorough understanding of Oracle Apps technical environment. * Carry out critical events; SLA management and first response. * Full Applications (R12.2) support, including Installation and Cloning of Applications, as well as System Administration and Troubleshooting, Backups, Refreshes and Non-Production Clones. * Troubleshooting issues related to Apache, Applications stack, discoverer and DB. * Perform Apps / DB Bounces, Applying Data fixes, ADOP patching and AD Utilities, collecting logs and traces & other DB commands. * Analyze and document system storage requirements. * Configuring, creating new instances for reporting purposes and automating the process of refreshing instances. Essential Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline with 8+ years relevant experience; or Master's degree with 6+ years relevant experience; or equivalent work experience. * Strong working experience with Oracle Apps DBA activities, supporting Implementations, Installations, Customizations, Administration and Report Configuration for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2. Have Oracle Certification. * Experience installing, configuring and administering on EBS R12.2.4: Weblogic, SOA, OBIEE, Upgrading EBS from R12.2 to R12.2.4, cloning EBS instances and applying ADOP patches. * Carrying out Performance tuning at DB Level. * Tuning of the EBS including Concurrent Manager, caches, load balancing of application tier, and setting up parallel concurrent processing. * Experience installing, configuring and administering multi-node 11gR2/ 12c RAC DB. * Creating user accounts and assigning responsibilities. * Enabling Workflow Mailer Logging, Setting up Debug logs. * Experience in Backup and Recovery (RMAN and hot backup) Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard setup and configuration. * Well versed with Patching on Single Node and Multimode Instances. * Must have worked on Linux and Windows. * Candidate must have good analytical and problem solving skills in non-production and production environments. * Excellent Communication skills. * Work in flexible Shifts as required. * Able to independently work on assignments and interact with diverse teams (Unix, network, functional/technical users). * Production working knowledge a must.
