nOur team manages business critical OLTP and multi-terabyte data warehouses utilizing the latest technologies in the industry such as RAC, GoldenGate, Exadata, Hadoop, MS Sql Server Clustering, and more.

Leverage your technical and soft skills to impact the broader team and organization in a positive manner through teaching and providing innovative solutions.nAdminister and maintain the security and integrity of the databases. Implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes. Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. Lead the efforts of installing and maintaining database management software.nRole Specific ResponsibilitiesnWork with the Information / Data Architect and Database Designer / Modeler to help implement the physical data model for the development and / or production environmentsn

Help develop and validate the database implementation plann

Support the data loads into the databasesn

Create database objects and maintain their physical organization / relationships Provide input, as needed, to the development of business cases when enterprise-wide database solutions are proposedn

Ensure that the application, and any enhancements, interact efficiently with the databasen

Develop and implement database performance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data for performance optimization opportunitiesn

Manage the on-site backup and recovery process and / or support of the off-site backup and recovery teams Plan for and execute any required database upgrades and migration (patches, etc.)nCommunicate database requirements to the development team for the design and implementation of database-related coden

Perform model walk-through to educate the technical and business communities, as neededn

Help define back-up & recovery strategyn

Help define archiving strategyn

Develop and implement standards for data object naming and database designn

Participate in project estimating activitiesn

Produce technical documentation related to the databases under management according to technology standardsn

Provide off hours support as required Business PartnershipnEstablish strong working relationships with Information / Data, Application and Technical Architects, other team members; all functions within technology area; and across the business as appropriate People ManagementnManage individual workload and deliver to agreed upon project milestonesn

Actively participate in HR performance measurement processesn

Coach / mentor other team members as appropriaten

Demonstrate ability to work in team environment and help resolve issues Communicate status / risks to manager regarding delivering solution on time

QualificationsnCollege degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experiencen

Experience / advanced knowledge of logical and physical database modeling concepts and techniquesn

Knowledge of the companys business practices, and familiarity with the companys products and servicesn

Knowledge of database performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning proceduresn

Knowledge of productivity factors and ability to understand impact of issues on overall database performancen

Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processesn
