What You'll Get to Do

CACI is seeking an experienced Oracle database administrator to join our program as a member of our database team. As an experienced professional at CACI you will support application and database activities in managing and maintaining multiple Oracle 19c RDBMS environment instances in support of a DoD customer. You will provide Oracle DBA support to a large implementation project in a complex environment which includes Oracle 19, and also Postgres, and SQL Server databases and multiple functional applications and technologies. Your Oracle database experience will bring great value to the team.

More About the Role

  • Assist in managing and maintain an Oracle 19c RDBMS instances for a major DoD customer

  • Support day to day Oracle Apps DBA activities as well as support to special projects including application rehosting migrations.

  • Perform installation and upgrade of applications, databases, and tools including patching of technology stack and databases

  • Apply database and application performance tuning techniques for keeping all environments at optimal performance

  • Support and maintain backup and recovery activities and processes utilizing Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager).

  • Perform patching tasks for keeping all environments current with vendor patches

  • Recommend improvements to processes and procedures to increase productivity, reduce maintenance cycles, and improve quality delivery.

  • Provide on-call support to production environments including some weekend support

  • Support and maintain password resets for server and database accounts

  • Work cooperatively with functional and technical staff, to meet timelines and deliverables

You'll Bring These Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

  • 7 years SLDC experience, including lead experience

  • 5 years Oracle DBA experience

  • 4 years experience supporting DoD financial systems

  • CompTIA Security+ certification

  • Minimum DOD Secret clearance

  • Must be US Citizen

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience administering Oracle Weblogic/Fusion Middleware

  • Experience with Postgres DB

  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Data processing projects provide complete processing and specialized reports from data supplied by clients or provide automated data processing and data entry services. <br><br> Supports database system availability for Oracle based databases. Provides development, test, user acceptance testing, production and disaster recovery (fail-over) environment for customer applications to be developed, tested, trained, and deployed on. Issues are identified and remediated before they lead to service interruptions. <br><br> Architecture and configuration is balanced between vendor-recommended and industry standard best practices, and customer organizational needs, security requirements, risk assessment results, and other business drivers. Production system patches, updates and configuration modifications maintain previously provided functionality, provide the anticipated system enhancements and corrections, and do not cause system or application functionality issues. Provide system maintenance at regular intervals and at times to minimize impact on customers in multiple time zones. <br><br> Production system maintenance must be conducted on weekends unless otherwise directed by the customer technical manager. Oracle application deployment packages will be reviewed and deployed to the customers environment as needed during regular maintenance intervals.
