  • Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, configure and test Oracle enhancements to support business processes.

  • Participate in Oracle EBS projects involving configuration, requirements gathering, ad-hoc requests from business and production support.

  • Provide day to day support of the Oracle EBS environment including, reporting requirements, ad-hoc requests from business and production system support.

  • Continuously review opportunities for improvement in how Oracle platforms are leveraged, and bring best practices to the forefront.

  • Produce detailed system requirements specifications, data, and test plans, using standardized documentation methods.

  • Ensure that proposed solutions comply with the company's technology direction.

  • Ensure compliance with company's change and security policies.

  • Provide general technical support for Oracle system and user training.

  • Own relationship between business areas and IT by being a liaison for stakeholders

  • Lead discussions to determine stakeholder needs and develop business requirements for specific tasks

  • Perform reviews and analysis on current processes to determine areas for optimization

  • Assist with the development of user acceptance testing plans and lead that effort to ensure the deliverable satisfies their requirements

  • Develop required documentation for projects including design, development and deployment plans.

  • Develop a set of tools and standards for the practice of Business & Systems analysis.

  • Qualifications:

  • Experience in the role of a Business analyst supporting Oracle ERP applications

  • Experience with Oracle EBS Applications Release 12.x in a functional role supporting Financials, Order Management, and Logistics.

  • Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in eCommerce, financial and marketing systems

  • Experience working with senior management and decision makers

  • Ability to work independently and with others

  • Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio, Atlassian suite, Smartsheets

  • Experience developing and presenting analytical data using charts and reports

  • Experience creating workflows and diagrams of complex systems integrations

VIEW JOBS 11/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-13T00:00 Position Information Arlington County's Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is hiring a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to provide IT application support and business process analysis for the Athletic and Facility Services (AFS) and Community Recreation (CRD) Divisions. The BSA will support the implementation of new and improved technologies and business practices; and provide system administration, end-user support, and training for the RecTrac recreation management system. This position will serve as the main point of contact between AFS and CRD Divisons of DPR and the Department of Technology Services (DTS), but will work with all DPR Divisions to improve the efficiency and effective use of technology . Specific duties include: * Extracting and manipulating data within RecTrac using MS Excel to create reports which measure performance and analyze trends in DPR facility usage and program participation; * Collaborating with all DPR Divisions to migrate to new technologies, such as Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, and One Drive; * Responding to requests for all IT device issues (e.g. replacements and upgrades); * Monitoring IT device usage for cost accounting measures; and * Assisting third party vendors with troubleshooting hardware and software issues with department devices. The ideal candidate will have effective oral and written skills to provide exceptional customer service; strong time management to plan and complete work independently; and demonstrated experience and an understanding of data analysis. Selection Criteria Minimum: * Bachelors degree in computer science or a closely related field; and * One year of systems administration and/or operations experience including providing user support working with business applications. Substitution: Additional full-time qualifying experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. Desirables: Preference may be given to candidates with one or more of the following: * Administration or advanced user of RecTrac or a comparable recreation management system; * Use of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and One Drive; and * Proficiency using Microsoft Excel to do data analysis. Additional Information Work Hours: Regular work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Flexible arrangements are considered on a case-by-case basis. Occasional hours outside of normal business hours will be required. An online application is required. Permanent, Full-Time Appointments All jobs are permanent, full-time appointments unless otherwise stated in the announcement. The following benefits are available: Paid Leave: Vacation leave is earned at the rate of four hours biweekly. Leave accrual increases every three years until eight hours of leave are earned biweekly for twelve or more years of service. Sick leave is earned at the rate of four hours biweekly. There are eleven paid holidays each year. Health and Dental Insurance: Three group health insurance plans are offered - a network open access plan, a point-of-service plan, and a health maintenance organization. A group dental insurance plan is also offered. The County pays a significant portion of the premium for these plans for employees and their dependents. A discount vision plan is provided for eye care needs. Life Insurance: A group term policy of basic life insurance is provided at no cost to employees. The benefit is one times annual salary. Additional life insurance is available with rates based on the employee's age and smoker/non-smoker status. Retirement: The County offers three vehicles to help you prepare for retirement: a defined benefit plan, a defined contribution plan (401(a)), and a deferred compensation plan (457). The defined benefit plan provides a monthly retirement benefit based on your final average salary and years of service with the County. You contribute a portion of your salary on a pre-tax basis to this plan. General employees contribute 4% of pay; uniformed public safety employees contribute 7.5% of pay. Employees become vested in the plan at five years of service. The County also contributes to this plan. For general employees, the County also contributes 4.2% of pay to a defined contribution plan (401(a)) . The County also matches your 457 contribution, up to $20 per pay period, in this plan. The 457 deferred compensation plan allows you to set aside money on either a pre-tax (457b) or post-tax (457 Roth) basis up to the IRS annual limit. New employees are automatically enrolled with a pre-tax contribution equal to 2% of your base pay.
