The Finance Change Delivery (FCD) Business Solution Architect will be responsible for the delivery of the Oracle Target Operating Model for Finance collaborating with multiple business and support teams across State Street. This position manages all change requested for the Oracle footprint in order to ensure it strategically aligns to the global design, and looks for opportunities to streamline and improve finance and organizational outcomes. They will liaise with the relevant IT Strategy and Architecture Teams as well as with the relevant Business Stakeholders and Programme/Project teams to ensure that the correct solution is identified, designed and delivered in line with the defined strategy. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage a complex design roadmap while building relationships and managing expectations of project teams, stakeholders, and executives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the business solution for Finance's Oracle Cloud Global Design, ensuring alignment with Architecture Roadmaps, strategies, principles and standards as published and communicated by IT Architecture. This work will be guided and supported by the IT Architecture Lead, Techno functional Support teams, Business Analysts and Business Leads

  • Analyse the change requests providing feedback, guidance and impact assessments utilising the relevant SME's .

  • Interact closely with all work-stream leads and hold them accountable for timely and high quality delivery of their committed deliverables.

  • Control the required artefacts, Target Operating Model and Solution Design Documents. Engage with team leads and team members to anticipate, challenge, and problem solve departures from global design, scope discrepancies, resourcing issues, and/or deliverable quality issues. Document and escalate as necessary to resolve.

  • Where departures are identified and/or needed, assess impact across work-streams, refine plan / design, and communicate in a transparent fashion to all stakeholders

  • Understand organizational context and be able to identify and engage relevant stakeholders to remove barriers and gain consensus

  • Coordinate and drive overall design communications, metrics reporting, risk management, and issue resolution

  • Maintain effective internal controls and implement corrective actions to address any process or control deficiencies. Maintain a culture of constant improvement for the Finance Cloud solution using out of the box functionality (as much as possible), new functionality emerging and end to end process redesign

  • Act in accordance with Risk Excellence and role model Ethical behaviour and decision making

  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that the solution identified is fully understood and supported by all stakeholders, aligned to the business need, is fit for purpose and provides value for investment made.

  • Guide and consult with project management to ensure delivery models adopted are suitable, cost effective & the right fit.

  • Liaise with functional and technical teams, ensure that all process flows are mapped, and solution is designed considering business processes.

  • Ability to facilitate diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view to build consensus and agree go-forward direction on topics like functionality, process changes and prioritization/work timing

  • Comfortable in ambiguous situations and able to bring clarity to complex challenges for both team members and stakeholders

  • Excellent management and leadership skills

Qualifications, Skills & Expertise

  • Must have worked as a Business Solution Architect in at least 1 end to end implementations involving global customer or full ERP suite.

  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud modules (including certifications), integrated solutions and systems architecture

  • Proven ability in designing, influencing and delivering end-to-end solutions in partnership with a diverse range of clients and/or stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated understanding of risk identification and management.

  • Proven written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to make technical conversations relevant to business and vice versa.

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.

  • At least 10 years of experience in implementing Oracle ERP Solutions.

  • Proven experience of working in Banking or Financial Services.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

  • Should have complete understanding of the Product and Business processes related to Oracle ERP / EPM Cloud Applications.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, and the candidate must be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

  • Should have a desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills, and should be comfortable working on multiple concurrent projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel, and Word required

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $185,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
