Position Purpose

This is a Per Diem position with rotating shifts and does not include any benefits.
1.The OR Technician will assist in operations, under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel.
2.May help set up operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, sterilize equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeon's assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments

Job Description Details:

Education Requirements

  • H.S. Graduate from an accredited school is required

  • Graduation from a Surgical Technician program is required

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum one year experience as Surgical Tech in a hospital setting

Orthopedic and ortho-spine experience highly preferred

Licensure/Certification:

  • BLS through AHA
  • Certified Surgical Tech (CST) is preferred
