Cache Valley Hospital

The OR/Surgical Technician is responsible for demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department. The OR Technician is experienced in all aspects of aseptic technique, and setting up the required equipment and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure. He/she is knowledgeable regarding instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for all types of surgical procedures. The OR Technician performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery.

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

  • Graduation from an accredited program for Surgical Technician (preferred). High school graduate or equivalent required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
  • CST Required

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of experience as a Surgery Technician Required

Supplier Quality Technician II personnel are required to follow Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instruction Documents and technical drawings and specifications as they relate to raw materials and components. This position requires following cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) and working in a fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain accurate records of test results. Review test data sheets of other QC Specialists as needed and as directed by the QE Manager. * Be proficient with equipment in the QC laboratories * Perform laboratory duties as required * Update QC status changes in Oracle ERP system. * Assist during quality investigations. * Willingness to obtain ASQ – CQT certification * Other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: * HS Diploma or GED, * Direct experience in incoming raw material inspection a plus * Ability to work with manufacturing and warehouse personnel * Skilled in reading drawings * Ability to accurately follow procedures * Ability to lead continuous improvement teams through PPI * Forklift operator permit or ability to obtain forklift operator permit. Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria: * HS Diploma or equivalent. * Knowledge of cGMP requirements. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Computer skills are essential. * Standard day shift work schedule but will need to be flexibility in work schedule as well as overtime as required. Physical and Environmental Requirements: * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 8 hours a day with additional overtime as required. * Must have the ability to inspect components on a work benches for entire shift. * Must have the ability to stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping. * Must have the ability to frequently lift and manipulate up to 50 pounds unassisted.
