General Summary of Position:


Maintains the cleanliness of the Surgery Center, transport patients to and from the Surgery Center, assists with designated inventory, receiving and storage functions and maintains supply levels of designated basic items in appropriate areas of the department. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital#s philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Qualifications: High School graduate or the equivalent (GED). One-year experience in a hospital setting in a similar position or as a Nursing Assistant or in Central Sterile Supply or Environmental Services preferred. Very organized; must be able to read and write and know basic math.# Able to work quickly and accurately. Reliable and able to follow detailed instructions. Able to work under stress and remain calm in emergency situations.# Communication skills required to interact with patients and all levels of staff.

Job Requirements and Preferences: Basic Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma Minimum Years of Experience: 4 year(s) Preferred Qualifications: Degree Preferred: Bachelor Degree Preferred Fields of Study: Computer and Information Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in the following areas: * Developing applications in serverless cloud environments; * Possessing Google Cloud experience is preferred, as well as experience in AppEngine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Kubernetes, Datastore, Firestore, Cloud SQL and/or BigQuery; * Working with AWS serverless services (Lamda, Edge, Fargate, S3, EFS, RedShift), as well as Heroku or Azure; * Designing and building container based apps; * Working with docker images, kubernetes, microservices architecture; * Possessing Devops and Continuous Delivery and Integration skills; * Writing and automating test code for high levels of code coverage; * Working with Google Cloud Build, AWS CodePipeline or CodeBuild, Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, or similar; and, * Using web services and APIs (e.g REST) and their application to serverless cloud environments; preferably Google Cloud.
