OR Inventory Coordinator is responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external Hospital customers. Coordinates requisitioning, inventory management of Surgery supplies, equipment, instrumentation, tissue, implants and instrumentation.
This individual performs in accordance with hospital standards and policies. Ensures all tissue and implant device processes are in compliance with all government regulations and accreditation agencies.
Serves as a key operational liaison to the distribution department to determine proper inventory levels, recommend improvements and consolidations to distribution, and implement appropriate ordering processes.
Identifies and recommends product standardization and cost saving opportunities, provides data to support recommendations and supports product conversions.
Works with purchasing to build and maintain working relationships with vendors and to resolve procurement issues, including but not limited to vendor disputes, invoice discrepancies, expedited processing of emergency orders, reconciling vendor credits and exchanges of product and handling of damaged or defective product.
Identifies and recommends to purchasing opportunities for cost reduction, improvements to supply contracting and methods of enhancing contractual compliance.
Monitors and controls vendor delivery and pick up of implantable products, loaner trays and other related devices.
Qualified candidates for this role will have an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's Degree preferred, a current state of WI nursing license, and CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications. In order to be successful, 1 year of Nursing experience in PACU/Critical Care is required.
