The OR Resource Coordinator will be responsible for managing the OR resources of the Dept. of Orthopedics.
This position will provide support and guidance to 25 - 30 OR schedulers in a staff support role in the ortho department. The OR Resource Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental standards related to OR scheduling, consents, and billing.
This position will be responsible for developing analytical tools to trouble shoot problems and monitor performance.
Functions as a contributing member of a team in individual practice sites as well as at the Departmental level
Competent at representing department at high level meetings with Department Chair and Chiefs of Service
APEX: OPTIME trained or similar surgery scheduling experience
UCSF Surgery Scheduling Experience or similar surgery scheduling experience
Demonstrated competence in MS Office: Word, and Outlook
Demonstrated knowledge in MS Excel
Ability to positively influence behavior of others without direct supervisory authority
The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Demonstrated skills in conflict management and facilitation
Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills
Experience as a trainer
