Job Summary:

ATC Las Vegas is seeking a skilled and dedicated OR-Cardiology, Surgical Technician to join our team at our Las Vegas location. This is a part-time, hourly position in the healthcare industry, offering a competitive salary of $24 to $26 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating room and surgical equipment for procedures, adhering to strict sterilization and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure smooth and efficient surgeries.

• Assist with preoperative preparations, including positioning and draping patients, and prepping surgical sites.

• Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures and pass instruments and supplies as needed.

• Monitor patient vital signs and provide updates to medical staff when necessary.

• Manage surgical equipment and inventory, ensuring proper functioning and availability.

• Follow strict infection control procedures to prevent the spread of bacteria and diseases.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advances in surgical technology.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Completion of an accredited surgical technician program or equivalent training and experience.

• Certification as a surgical technician strongly preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in cardiology.

• Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.

• Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• A team-oriented and positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of surgical equipment and proficiency using technology.

• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be willing to comply with all safety and health guidelines, including wearing personal protective equipment.
