GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise, experience & the organization's key results through collaboration & teamwork. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality Optometric care by performing clinical protocols while maximizing results & practices growth through strong partnership with the MOD, SMM & team. The Associate Optometrist delivers key performance indicators and serves as a leading ambassador of the Brand inside & outside the organization who is driven by passion & high standards to always go above & beyond.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures executional excellence & winning results in partnership with the MOD & store team.

  • Demonstrates commitment to exceed results through strong competency in KPI management & high accountability.

  • Ensures Brand is known as the leading optical provider within the community.

  • Operates as successful stakeholder to all leaders within the organization & local market.

  • Places the patient/customer 1st & delivers excellent service.

  • Conveys a commitment to providing unsurpassed Patient Service through ensuring staff performs the following Service Process steps:

  • Address all patients/customers visual life style needs

  • Make eyewear recommendations based on patients/customers' needs

  • Explain each step of the eye exam; listen carefully to patients/customers

  • Utilize available tools & visual aids to summarize & ensure patients understand each aspect of their vision, eye health, & overall well being

  • Communicate effectively with patients the need for annual eye exams. Ensure all patients are appointed in TAB for their next eye exam

  • Conducts all services in accordance with protocol & accepted standards of care.

  • Ensures all patients receive accurate diagnosis & appropriate recommendations.

  • Establishes a positive Doctor/patient relationship.

  • Utilizes & leverages effectively all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient/customer experiences.

  • Ensures office systems are maintained.

  • Maintains State Licensure in good standing & practices to the full scope of that license, responsible for maintaining Continuing Education requirements.

  • Provides effective training & guidance to team members making use of Company provided programs.

  • Delivers clear, motivating & constructive feedback in a timely manner to all associates.

  • Creates a positive culture linked to the corporate culture; identifies what motivates each individual & directs conversations & actions appropriately.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctor of Optometry

  • Commitment to quality patient care

Through innovation and continual improvement in precision converting technology, we provide prime paperboard grades from leading mills to paper merchants and packaging companies. With vast inventories at Manchester's 5 strategic locations: Virginia, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Michigan, and Texas, we maintain 14 precision sheeters, 9 guillotine trimmers, 4 carton packing lines, and 2 slitter rewinders within 450,000 combined square feet of manufacturing and warehousing space. The goal of Manchester Industries is to provide an exceptional service platform with our staff of committed employees. Through working with customers and suppliers together, we are able to find profitable and proficient solutions in this ever-changing marketplace. The Receiving & Inventory Admin Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the in-bound freight, confirming documentation to goods received and completes reconciliation activities and provides administrative support to the assigned site. In addition, this role is responsible for quality responsibilities that include coordinating customer feedback and quality claims analysis, product information, and auditing to ensure sound quality processes and checks are in place. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities 1. Quality Control * Ensure production of a quality product by performing quality line audits, providing training for supervisors and operators and conducting raw material testing. * Monitor product quality and performance to ensure compliance. * Manage containment and disposition of Non-Conforming Product. * Maintain proper documentation for all quality functions. * Provide manufacturing with an understanding of customer needs and expectations. * Interact and communicates with crews to give and receive feedback. * Work with quality/supply chain team to identify, design, and implement improvements to quality systems, processes, procedures, documents, etc. * Provide support to Technical, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and others as needed to ensure customer expectations are understood, met, and any complaints resolved. * Coordinate and participate in monthly Quality Conference calls for the site. * Set-up and maintains testing equipment ensuring it is working properly and lab testing equipment is calibrated. 2. Customer Feedback & Claims Analysis * Receive, document, and resolve consumer complaints. * Provide regular reports on customer feedback trends to organization. * Work with Sales, Quality, Technical, and Manufacturing to investigate and resolve customer complaints, as needed. * Continuously improve methods and procedures that will improve the receipt of goods with customers and vendors * Assists in the preparation of KPI reports, maintains dashboards and reporting mechanisms, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting, evaluating receiving procedures performance and other key metrics * Use proven data collection and analysis techniques to correlate data, make recommendations for corrective and/or preventative actions and plans, driving to resolution of issues. * Administer reporting systems, including weekly and monthly quality reports. 3. Receiving Coordination * Schedules all daily and weekly delivery/receipt schedules and changes; able to adapt to changing priorities * Updates and maintains incoming documentation in a disciplined manner ensuring accuracy and currency * Effectively and accurately performing receiving activities * Inventories shipments as required and the warehouse to assure easy retrieval and staging of goods * Properly enters order information and completes shipping documentation as required to properly account for goods moving in/out of the facility * Coordinates with customer service, scheduling, and transportation to generate superior customer service * Works with leadership team to prioritize deliveries * Ability to recognize errors and problems with delivered materials; escalates unresolved issues with a focus to ensure inventory accuracy and receipt of goods as appropriate 4. Administrative Support * Performance of administrative support duties, including calendar maintenance, fielding foot traffic, managing correspondence and reporting o Answer phones as the receptionist o Collects and distributes mail and packages o Create and coordinate correspondence and documents o Assist in the preparation of organization related reports and presentations o Facilitate meetings, coordinate appointments - may include coordination of site lunches and events * May assist in the coordination of customer visits and provide materials and/or support as needed * Order and maintain inventory of general supplies: flyers, letterhead, envelopes, office supplies, testing supplies, safety related items and required production tools, custodian supplies and office/printer/coffee supplies * Conduct/support COVID testing processes as needed * Maintains and generates reporting and weekly graphs in support of the operations o May post information on communication boards and media per site practice. * Act in a manner consistent with company values and attitudes * Accountable for time sensitive and/or confidential material * Communicates & sends hours worked to temp agencies and handles new hires * Assists in conducting new employee orientation and safety orientations * May assist in facilitating general HR inquiries and other duties as assigned to support Key Competencies & Attributes * Excellent listener who can work through conflict.
