Overview:

Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility.

  • Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Removes orders from the trolley or pulls used merchandise for mending, replacement, and exchange; Pulls badges/emblems and attaches to order form, sorts batches by garment families, sews badges/emblems on garments, and hems pants; Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting specified quality standards and company grading policy for used garments in terms of rips, tears, holes, ink spots, missing buttons, loose hems, and stains; Accurately counts and sorts merchandise, and sew badges/emblems straight and on the proper garments; Replaces garments on trolley and pushes completed trolley to next station; Maintains safe and clean work environment, and observes best practices in all production activities; Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions; Working knowledge of basic math skills; Good verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Ability to meet attendance schedule.

  • Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise. Work is based on a shift schedule, and may include weekends. Overtime required as needed. Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions; Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull bags weighing up to 20 lbs; Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 10 lbs; Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, pressing, and lifting; Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations; Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.

Designs and coordinates admissions outreach services and associated events. Establishes and delivers a wide range of advisement and liaison services. Participates in, or oversees, the evaluation of applicant files for admissions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities . Other duties may be assigned. 1. Advises students and families regarding educational opportunities and options, admission and other requirements, policies and procedures, transfer of credit, and financial assistance, as appropriate. 2. Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates programs, special projects and events, and other initiatives geared to recruiting students within targeted populations, and facilitating admission into the OPS at California Baptist University. 3. Analyzes trends in student recruitment and retention programs, and participates in the establishment and implementation of recruitment and retention strategies, resources, policies, and procedures. 4. Develops and implements outreach programs, events, and activities for recruitment and enrollment of students from targeted communities. 5. Assists with creating and distributing a range of resource and promotional materials designed for the recruitment and retention of students in targeted groups. 6. Reviews individual applications and evaluates candidates for admission eligibility; troubleshoots applications with problems, and oversees, and/or coordinates communications with applicants. 7. Maintains communication via telephone, correspondence, and/or electronic mail with prospective students through all stages of the recruitment, admission and enrollment process. 8. Keep accurate records of recruiting activities and contacts. 9. Assist with other student service projects and events as requested. 10. Achieves aggressive monthly recruiting goals. 11. Interacts regularly with CBU's enrollment leadership team to develop recruiting strategies and partnership. 12. Position will require evening and weekend work and travel. A valid driver's license, a good driving record and reliable transportation is required. 13. In the absence of the Director, acts as department representative. 14. Assists in training of staff, and acts as the OPS liaison to designated university departments. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Able to professionally represent University in marketing and public relations activities. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including public speaking skills. Must possess strong detail and time management skills. Ability to work independently and accomplish tasks under deadline stresses. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. A thorough knowledge of: Business English and arithmetic; general office methods, procedures and practices. Ability to plan, develop, and coordinate multiple projects. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Excellent telephone courtesy, knowledge and experience. Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
