SPECIAL NOTES:

High School Diploma or its equivalent is required.

Additional requirements:

• One (1) or more years' experience in completing Human Resource actions to include hiring actions and classification actions.

• One (1) or more years' experience creating Excel spreadsheets.

A valid and current driver's license is preferred.

This is a 20 hour per week position and will be paid at the hourly rate of $15.00 per hour.

Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of policies and practices involved in personnel/human resource functions. Adjusting actions in relation to others' actions.

• Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication

• Knowledge of the methods of data collection; knowledge of basic arithmetic.

• Ability to identifying the things that must be changed to achieve a goal.

• Ability to talk to others to effectively convey information.

• Ability to identify the nature of problems, knowing how to find information and identifying essential information.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Assists the Business Manager with Human Resource actions by reviewing hiring packages and request for advertisements documents for completeness.

At the direction of the Business Manager contacts appropriate parties to ensure compliance with required documents for human resource actions.
