Job Summary

Provides operational support through the coordination of the quality, service and administrative functions in the pickup and delivery area. Responsible for the dispatch of transportation equipment in accordance with the Linehaul plan to minimize costs and ensure service integrity. Performs process checks to ensure regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions

  • Monitors facility reporting metrics related to service, safety, cost and quality on a daily basis. Investigates potential performance issues and addresses with Business Contacts and Authorized Officers (BC/AO). Reviews inaccuracies in generated reports with appropriate parties to include administrative staff and BC/AOs.

    Ensures errors are corrected in appropriate systems and verifies accuracy of metrics reported . Communicates with BC/AOs of Independent Contractors (ICs), Independent Service Providers (ISPs) and temporary agency employees regarding day-to-day operations including IC/ISP requested load plan changes and implements these changes into the Vision/VRP systems. Reviews operational metrics with BC/AOs that will affect daily planning and performance including service and customer satisfaction Investigates customer service complaints to include disputed deliveries, missing packages, early and late pickups, etc. Communicates resolved issues with customer directly to ensure customer satisfaction Escalates unresolved issues with BC/AOs to appropriate management Maintains and updates vehicle maintenance information on all temporary and/or company-owned assets.

    Responsible to ensure contractually agreed upon standards and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements are adhered to for both company and vendor equipment Creates and maintains files for company and vendor equipment and ensures that all relevant insurance and maintenance documents are accurate and up to date. Creates and maintains files in accordance with DOT regulations for all drivers (IC, ISP and Temporary) Assists in the development and implementation of the corrective action plans if any discrepancies or violations are found in the Business Control Self Assessment (BCSA) tests for the appropriate area Coordinates the dispatch of linehaul transportation equipment. Accurately enters all dispatch events into the online system to ensure timely delivery and pickup of trailers. Completes yard inventory to verify location of equipment Investigates and reports linehaul schedule delays, accidents and equipment failures and implements contingency plans which ensure on-time load delivery in the event of an en-route trailer breakdown or accident

Minimum Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in , Business, Logistics or a related area preferred

Minimum Experience

  • Administrative support, customer service or dock operations experience preferred

  • Customer service skills necessary to effectively and professionally respond to requests and issues Time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced team environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with various audiences Ability to read, interpret and draw conclusions from numerical data and written information Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applications Knowledge of concepts, practices, procedures and transportation regulations used in Pickup and Delivery and Linehaul field operations, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations

VIEW JOBS 10/12/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-10T00:00 Position Purpose The Supply Chain Coordinator position is responsible to support and execute the tactical purchasing requirements of Product Life Cycle project sourcing strategies and/or Global Supply Chain strategies. The position's functions may vary slightly based on the assigned Global Supply Chain. In PLC Sourcing, this level will also lead the successful collaboration and integration between engineering, supply base and global commodity teams for Same-as-Except or Minor scope projects throughout the PLC process in order to achieve an optimal product solution for Woodward. Essential Functions * With minimal oversight from PLC (Product Life Cycle) Sourcing Project Manager, manages and engages with Engineering, Global Sourcing, and other cross functional groups to drive project requirements for minor scope, derivative projects or same-as-except projects. Represents Global Sourcing as the lead or key point of contact and will actively understand when appropriate and escalate to the PLC Sourcing Project Manager for support. Responsible for completion of PLC sourcing project deliverables. * Has solid knowledge of specific commodity strategies and can actively engage to implement these strategies in support of Engineering activities and projects. Contributes to or can lead the development of a project sourcing strategy for minor scope, derivative or same-as-except projects with oversight. This can include participation in the development of that strategy with the Global Sourcing Supply Chain team, PLC Sourcing project manager, implementation of that strategy. * Understands project needs, business goals and organization processes and effectively manages requirements to achieve and manage global sourcing support for successful execution of project sourcing strategy. With minimal oversight can actively manage risks and changes and adapt project sourcing strategy to changing project requirements. Uses Design to Cost, risk mitigation, commercial alignment, technical requirements, Early Supplier Involvement activities to address immediate project requirements. * Lead and drive the Global Sourcing participation in Business Opportunity Assessment (BOA) minor scope, derivative or same-as-except projects with some oversight. * Independently plans and executes Purchase Orders (PO's) in support of all customer requirements and in compliance with internal and external requirements, including government regulations when applicable. This includes engagement with supply base, reporting status, tracking purchased items through to stocking and payment. Engages with suppliers as required to expedite critical issues involving the procurement of services, materials, supplies or products. * Proactively drives resolution, mitigates issues and escalates as appropriate. * In PLC Sourcing: Manages any changes impacting cost and delivery, inventory and Sourcing Strategy. * Responsible for the coordination and administration of one or more strategic programs, including communication and training of members. * Initiates and tracks all requests for quotes (RFQ's) for purchased materials required for projects. Ensures RFQ's are in alignment to DTC volume requirements as well as prototype needs. Actively manages gaps to Sourcing Strategy and project milestones. * Enters and maintains quote detail in appropriate business system. * Proactively manages and communicates cost changes and cost drivers that impact ability to achieve cost targets with both supplier and team. Takes action to resolve or understand cost issues and escalates as required. * Actively contributes to, for Same as Except project leads and manages, PLC projects as a Global Sourcing representative to ensure continuous communication and collaboration with the PLC Sourcing Project Manager and project teams to successfully manage changing project needs and support implementation and execution of a project Sourcing Strategy and ultimate transition to production. * Drives the parts Transition to Production process. Monitors progress and timing to ensure deliverables are met at PLC gateways. * Accountable for deliverable completion and escalates issues preventing completion to PLC Sourcing Project Manager. Responsible for tactical completion of part transition. * Facilitates Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) from order placement through approval.
