Join us as an Operations Analyst

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting an Operations Analyst to join our FX team. The Operations Analyst to coordinate and execute assigned projects or segments of projects that provide analysis and solutions to business problems, needs and new product goals. These projects are related to system redesign as required by the business line, industry or regulatory mandate and/or client requirements.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying trends and developing solutions to improve productivity and STP, and most importantly reduce risk. You will also participate and contribute to the design and implementation of management reporting that provides transparent risk, volume and productivity metrics as well as support execution of regulatory reporting initiatives and demands which continue to evolve.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

Project Management

  • Coordination of the life cycle of a project, including project scoping, planning, requirements definition to issues resolution, testing, training, data conversion and implementation, while maintaining the use of project methodology

  • Identify and interview key individuals to gather needed details and direction to define business requirements

  • Coordinate project deliverables across business units; plan for resource needs; develop timeline, milestone targets

  • Act as a liaison between business units, FX Product and Systems.Work closely with Systems on resource needs and timing

  • Assist in the production of procedure documents and training material

Risk Analysis and Reporting

  • Support preparation of Risk Management activities including but not limited to: quarterly FXS Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Regulatory reporting initiatives; Audit preparedness; E&O and incident reviews & reporting

  • Contribute ideas and support establishment & implementation of best practices and controls

  • Recognize patterns in complex information and identifying key issues and contribute ideas and potential solutions to management

Process Improvement

  • Work with team managers to create efficiencies within the team and initiate changes and updates to operating procedures

  • Support documentation and implementation of process improvement solutions

Quality Control

  • Organize and participate in User Acceptance testing and logging results

  • Perform quality control and comply with performance standards/best practices

  • Work with management team on project and testing controls and standards (oversight and project status transparency)


  • College degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3 - 5 years of industry or project experience, FX knowledge a plus-

  • Interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written communication skills

  • Proficiency using windows based applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access

  • Ability to communicate professionally with others

  • An aptitude for analytical and problem resolution

  • Self -starter, proactive, and objective oriented

  • Demonstrated ability to execute project activities (tasks) with little direction, and plan time effectively to meet project dates
