MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three (3) years employment experience as an Administrative Assistant working in an office environment.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience creating and maintaining official files.

  • Experience performing clerical and administrative office support functions with a variety of office equipment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Successful Completion of a Level 2 background screening and due diligence process.

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND EXPECTATIONS

This position reports to the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs, Homes' Program, Program Administrator and provides professional administrative support, specific to the functions within the Homes' Program Office. Depending on assigned responsibilities, this position may perform some or all of the below duties:

  • Compose, type, and distribute correspondence, procedures, schedules, and other documents as required

  • Use standard office computer for word processing, data entry, and data retrieval

  • Maintain basic manual and automated file systems

  • Input data into Purchasing System to create, submit, receive, and reconcile purchase requisitions accurately and timely

  • Perform other related duties as required.

This is an OPS (Temporary) Position.

(sm) The Medical Assistant reports to the Center Administrator and provides routine patient care within one's level of training and functions under the direction/guidance of the clinical supervisor and/or the physician in accordance with relevant state statutes. Primary Responsibilities: * Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate commitment to superior customer service, including quality and care and concern with each and every internal and external customer * Represents the Company in a professional manner, following all Company policies and procedures * Uses, protects, and discloses patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards * Be able to obtain CPR certification within 90 days of employment (Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross) * Demonstrate working knowledge of basic Medical Assistant principles and practices * Greets patients in courteous and polite manner * Under direction and supervision of physician, administers medications, administers immunizations, EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services. Assists in simple office and minor surgical procedures. Required Qualifications: * High school graduate, GED or equivalent * Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross) * 2+ years of relevant back office, clinical experience for those without an accredited Medical Assistant diploma or RMA or CMA designation * CMA or RMA will be considered in lieu of experience * Ability to evaluate patient needs, administer prescribed medications, assist physician with examinations and treatment, prepare and apply dressings, and instruct patients in health measures and self-care as instructed by the physician * Ability to document and report findings and observations * Ability to perform EKGs * Ability to provide on-site emergency treatment within scope of practice * Ability to complete a color blindness test * Computer literate * Ability to follow written and oral instructions and to work with general guidance * Knowledge of medical equipment and maintenance * Knowledge of HIPAA regulations * Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language fluently * Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
