Berkeley Eye Center, a Texas Vision Care leader is seeking a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for Brenham, TX. We are seeking to add a board-certified/board-eligible comprehensive ophthalmologist to join our established group who has excellent surgical skills and a focus on a positive patient experience. Berkeley Eye Center has 29 locations (including 3 ASCs) throughout Southeast Texas. We offer our patients a fantastic blend of Ophthalmic and Optometric services to meet a family’s vision care needs. Our ophthalmic surgeons perform cataract, retina, glaucoma, and ophthalmic plastic surgery on site in our state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery centers. We are also able to provide eye examinations for adults as well as children over the age of seven while offering a full-service optical shop at each of our Houston locations. Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive eye exams, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and slit-lamp examinations
Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration
Perform surgical procedures, such as LASIK, cataract extraction, and corneal transplants
Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries
Educate patients on proper eye care and treatment options
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care Qualifications: - Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
Completion of an ophthalmology residency program
Board certification or eligibility for board certification in ophthalmology
Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
Proficiency in performing vital signs measurements
Experience in providing patient care in various settings, including pediatrics
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
Ability to conduct clinical research studies and stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology
